This is #MultiplayerAI like you've never seen before!
Goodbye, AI in a chat box.
Hello, AI in the room — with everyone.
Meet @SpacebarAI: A real-time environment where humans and AI work together.
Your whole team works with the same AI coworker, in the same workspace.
Everyone directs it.
Everyone sees the work happen live.
AI hears the conversation.
Sees the workspace.
Understands what you’re pointing at.
Talks with you over voice and video.
Works across browsers, whiteboards and applications.
Remembers what happened.
And when you leave, it keeps working.
Every space has an email address. Send it the next task from wherever you are.
Synchronous or asynchronous.
Same space. Same context. Same tools. Same work.
This is Multiplayer AI.
In this video, a café owner and a consultant work alongside Sparky (AI agent) to find a location, update a shared spreadsheet, build an app, create designs and a 3D model, check live sales data, and launch a website.
When they bring in Stripe, Sparky works with it in front of everyone. Close the browser, and its access ends.
The next frontier is not another chat box where one person talks to one model.
The next frontier is AI that steps into the work itself — collaborating with entire teams, sharing their context, using their tools, and moving work forward with them.
The models are ready. The environment around them needed to catch up, until now.
We first built the best place for humans to work together: @PencilSpaces. We started in education, an extraordinary proving ground. Over five years, the technology behind Pencil Spaces has powered more than 260 million minutes of human collaboration.
That's almost 500 years of real use. Not 500 years of pristine demo conditions. Low-end devices. Unreliable internet. Different browsers, operating systems, countries and continents.
A dropped connection couldn’t cost anyone their work.
Simultaneous edits couldn’t break the workspace.
Coming back tomorrow couldn’t mean starting over.
Everything had to just work.
That foundation turns out to fit AI remarkably well.
There is a lot of hard tech underneath what you’re watching:
→ Real-time multiplayer state and CRDTs
→ Shared browsers and secure browser handoff
→ Applications and virtual machines
→ Real-time voice, video and computer vision
→ Agent orchestration, memory and permissions
→ Persistent spaces, whiteboards and infinite canvas
Each of these is a massive challenge on its own. We've solved for all of them to work simultaneously.
And we designed Spacebar to be model-agnostic.
Bring the models you want.
Bring the tools you want.
Bring the people you want.
Spacebar gives them a place to work together.
We built this infrastructure for humans first.
And now AI is invited into the room as well.
This is Spacebar.

At @PencilSpaces, we love @Apple
Pencil Spaces is optimized for Apple hardware and software in numerous ways, and here’s how Apple extends the superpowers of Pencil Spaces in a lesson:
→ Look up to see the class on the Mac. Look down to write and sketch on iPad with Apple Pencil, in the same Space.
→ Sign in with Apple means one fewer password for every student and teacher.
→ AirPlay puts the lesson on the screen at the front of the room.
→ Your desk becomes a document camera. With an iPhone and Continuity Camera, a student’s handwritten work appears live in the Space.
And MacBook Neo brings all of it to more learners.
If you run an Apple-powered school, district, or tutoring program, we’d love to show you what we’ve built for you. And if you haven’t yet looked at how Apple could level up your teaching, we’d love to show you that too.
Either way, reach out at 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼@𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀.𝗰𝗼𝗺 and we’ll give you a tour.
Thank you @Apple and @AppleEDU for all the great things you do to better education!
Dancing may be the ultimate brain workout. Not because it's exercise, but because it's live: rhythm, a partner, instant feedback.
The brain grows fastest when it's doing something, with someone.

so I was messing around with @SpacebarAi's agent in its collaborative browser and accidentally got it to set the daily record for Minesweeper on expert 😅 before I could stop it, it set its own name as the user!
Set a reminder for my upcoming Space with @AAsgekar!

I've already had a chance to play with this and it is a substantially better way to manage a project with AI especially with collaborators. I could see this used either personally or with teams. Especially families. Collaborating with AI in the middle is not always visual. Spacebar is absolutely the right visual paradigm for those situations.

The next era of AI is multiplayer.
Meet Spacebar: a shared, real-time environment where people and AI agents see, hear, speak, remember and act together.
Same room. Same tools. Same rules.
Give your AI a place to work.
