U.S. BLS data estimated 25,000 workers are “Graders and Sorters, Agricultural Products” in 2025, representing >$900M in annual wages.
Apples are just one crisp slice of an unassuming yet critical specialized intelligence market underpinning the global food system.
Somewhere right now, someone in a packhouse is counting apples by eye, shift after shift, while thousands roll past.
We gave that job to our General Object Detector, straight out of the box inside Score Studio.
No custom training, no special setup, and it's already picking out apples in a pile where half of them are hiding behind the next one.
It only gets sharper from here.
What should we teach it to count next?

A month ago we showed you the first version of our output guard. 73.9% F1. We said it was the floor, not the ceiling.
Two weeks later it was at 78.53%.
Today it's at 81.87%, less than a point from SOTA.
Every one of those points came the same way. Miners across the network attacked the guard week after week, every successful attack became something it learned from, and each new version came back harder to break.
We didn't hide the starting number and wait for a polished result to announce. We showed it to you at the bottom and let you watch it climb in the open, because the climb is the proof the whole system works.
The input guard already sits at the top of its class. The output guard is now right at the door.
Keep watching. The next update is the one we've been building toward.
We look first at the team and vision.
Next, is the idea is a good fit for a Bittensor subnet?
Thirdly, the quality of the incentive mechanism.
@LindsMikeStone from Yuma Accelerator explains how she evaluates the subnets Yuma backs, speaking at @ExploitSummit last month.
Building a successful subnet takes more than a good AI idea.
I sat down with @LindsMikeStone from @YumaGroup at @ExploitSummit to hear more about how their accelerator helps Bittensor teams launch, grow and build businesses around their technology.

The Yuma Total Market Fund contains the full Bittensor ecosystem, comprised of $TAO and subnets, analogous to the makeup of a '60/40' portfolio.
The Yuma Subnet Composite Fund contains indexed, weighted exposure across a broad range of Bittensor subnets, analogous to how the S&P 500 provides diversified exposure to the U.S. equity market.
The Yuma Large Cap Fund contains the largest subnets in the Bittensor ecosystem, analogous to how the Mag 7 represent a concentrated allocation to dominant technology companies in public markets.

Info: Beam Professional Services (separate services entity supporting the Beam ecosystem), has partnered with a consulting firm to support current client engagements and help organizations integrate Beam directly into their existing workflows.
From high-speed data movement and fan-out transfers to Rooms, streaming, and programmable actions, the focus is simple: bring Beam into real production environments.

Yuma will continue to advocate for the collective responsibility of all Bittensor participants to avoid weight-copying validators.
Incremental staking rewards from validators that default to weight-copying are funded by shortcuts that are both extractive and detrimental to Bittensor's consensus.
Whether via Yuma Staking or another owned-hardware validator, the Bittensor community should stake only to validators that enhance the network's intelligence production. $TAO
This is why we developed the Yuma Composite Index (YCX) and make it publicly available on our website.
YCX is weighted by market cap (among other filters) to provide a reliable view of Bittensor subnet market performance.

3/ Liquidity is a means to enable clear price discovery in healthy markets; high liquidity is not an objective unto itself. When liquidity becomes excessive, prices stop responding efficiently to information.
A representative example of liquidity hampering price discovery is @chutes_ai. Bittensor’s current tokenomics lead to liquidity levels deep enough to constrain repricing in both directions. They restrict downside movement as shown in this chart, but also limit upside price discovery.
YCX exhibits the same dynamic in aggregate because its market-cap weighted design accurately represents value in the subnet market, of which large-cap subnet tokens represent a dominant share.
