I watched this video while I was still on the first season of Naruto and I think it's partially the reason why Sasuke is my fav character. If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend it, it was so good.

I personally love SasuNaru because Sasuke, stripped of his agency and manipulated by the adults in his life, finally has someone precious to protect and care for of his own free will. And that precious someone being Naruto,
Someone who loves him not for what he does, but simply for who he is. He doesn't have to earn that love. He can just be himself and be loved.
They get to give each other the kind of love they've both spent their lives looking for.
