Last year’s insane Mercedes take on the Observer HOF shows was she got her big AEW contract because of the star Becky became in 2019, and this year’s insane takes (by Dave) is she’s never been a top 5-10 most marketable person in wrestling and she’s “main evented 0 big shows”

Hey @davemeltzerWON as you apparently had an acute case of amnesia here some of Mercedes Moné's Main Events - 1st womens PLE main event in NXT - 1st womens WWE main roster PLE Main Event (Hell in a Cell 2016 - biggest gate in TD Garden for WWE in over decade at that time) (1/2)

"Becky Lynch was the biggest star in this industry and Mercedes (Moné) has a clearcut better (Wrestling Observer) Hall of Fame candidacy than her."

Definitely seeing a shift this year. More and more people acknowledge that Mercedes Moné's Wrestling Observer HOF case gets even stronger every year, while others have stalled out or even regressed.

It's so great to see Mercedes getting recognition in these WON HOF cases. It fits Mercedes' career that it probably will be a struggle and a long road, but she's going to force her way into it and give them no other choice than to recognize her greatness and importance.

I think the women's Blood & Guts should go with a 3 teams format this year. Mercedes & Divine Dominion vs Triangle of Madness vs Willow/Stat/Harley

Fans obviously think Jonnie is the coolest; but look at the quote tweets and see how many other wrestlers are shouting her out and talking about fucking cool she is & hyping her up. One of the most liked people in the business on top of being one of the best wrestlers.

“I’m one month and a half-post surgery on my nose. It’s still very much broken and I’m still pushing through every single week, but I love what I do. I love defending my Women’s Championship, and I’m here to be the best. So just having a broken nose, it’s not gonna faze me. It’s not gonna stop me from defending this. This is my destiny, so I’m ready to give everything I have for it.” - Mercedes Moné (AEW WrestleDream post-show media scrum)
