“I’m not fearless cause I'm brave, I'm fearless cause I'm broken.”
These last 7 weeks watching LANTERNS has been some of the most refreshing and enjoyable experiences i’ve had with superhero media.
Such an amazing episode. Strongest Hal & John dynamic on screen while also the funniest. Heartfelt, comedic, powerful and a flow to the entire thing that felt so effortless. Kyle Chandler from 2016 and 2026 are practically two entirely different performances and it’s so fucking impressive how he’s able to absolutely nail both of them. Everyone says it, i keep saying it, there has to be more to Hal’s legacy beyond S1, in his copy or in his physical body because I NEED more of this.
Also Aaron Pierre has so confidently found himself as John Stewart to the point where his role in Man Of Tomorrow is one of my most anticipated things in the DCU. I just love how he bounces of Hal and Guy so the idea of seeing that with someone like Superman is thrilling.
Great stuff, amazing stuff, sensational stuff. Especially how cool some of those visuals were in the last half. Wish it was a little longer as a penultimate yet i still felt plenty satisfied. I have no idea how or where things end next week but i couldn’t be more excited.
Pretty solid episode but I think my favourite piece of characterisation in this show is the focus on Hal’s passive suicidal ideation and the dynamic between that and him getting/using the ring
It takes huge willpower to choose to live when you’re broken and want to die

Watching everyone who said people were making excuses for Tua now making excuses for Willis is absolute hypocritical gold.
Zero shame. #PhinsUp

Ya'll did it for Tua.
Ya'll counted his underthrows too.
Are we not keeping the same energy now? #PhinsUp

The dating pool is full of people trying to be taken care of, not enjoy a person and it’s sad af.
Colin Cowherd says Mike McDaniel’s system is too complicated and they need to simplify it. If it was a Black quarterback struggling to run that offense nobody would say “simplify the system.” They’d question his football IQ and whether he’s smart enough to handle it.
