AI is saving scientists time, but now they have more ideas than they can test. Turns out speeding up discovery is only half the battle. Great read from @SeedAIOrg’s Zhane Yamin 👇 acceleratesciencenow.substac…

Less than a week left to RSVP for AI Across America in Birmingham 👉aiacrossamerica.com/birmingh… Next Wednesday, October 14th, we're spending the day at @innovationdepot with state leaders, founders, researchers, and economic developers to work through what Alabama needs to build a strong AI ecosystem of its own. A big shoutout to the supporting crew: BirminghamAI, AI Huntsville, Economic Development Partnership of Alabama, Auburn University Biggio Center, The University of Alabama, and University of Alabama at Birmingham.

“Making the American scientific enterprise better equipped to capture the benefits of AI and deliver them to the American people is bipartisan and necessary.” @Josh_A_New, SeedAI's Director of Policy, shared a statement of support in the Build America Caucus’s new Build More Agenda, a bipartisan plan with 60+ proposals to restore America’s ability to build. Faster cures and breakthroughs are a core pillar, and we’re excited to see science get the attention it deserves. Back in August, we wrote about this on the Accelerate Science Now Substack, along with a few other rate limiters slowing down American science. Researchers spend nearly half their time on paperwork instead of research, and our funding system isn’t set up for big, ambitious bets. Cutting administrative burden, backing X-Labs, and making federal datasets AI-ready are fixes our coalition has long championed, and it’s great to see them in a bipartisan agenda. Big thanks to @RepJoshHarder and @RepMaloyUtah for their leadership!

Stopped in to check out Sushi Sato (H St NE), and accidentally found a dangerously good very happy hour. Great sushi, tasty drinks, $1 gyoza (!!). Yeah, I’ll be back. 🍣🍸

Georgia has become one of the biggest data center markets in the country in just a few years. So… who actually gets to use all that computing power? Episode 2 of IAPI is out! Austin heads home to Atlanta to talk to folks about data centers, access to AI, and who actually benefits from all of this. Give it a watch and tell us what you think 👇 youtu.be/iN7Jt0gcHw8

I ❤️ @PubKey. Absolute BANGER last night 🍻 Packed house, party went viral, and the team handled the chaos like pros. Big love to the hosts @edtarnowski @JonasYDu @JoinYoungVoices for trusting Pubkey with the madness. Even the protestors joined the promo team. No notes. 🪩
