They seem oddly proud that their new AI cluster:
1. Is located 30 miles outside the city
2. Consumes enough electricity to power 1000 homes

March 5, we held a special event to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the @DrexelUniv Microcomputing Program, with a working original DU Mac 128K!
Honored to have John @Gruber (Drexel ’96, daringfireball.net) among our distinguished guests.

March 5 is the 40th anniversary of the day Macs were first distributed to students on @DrexelUniv campus.
The story was captured on film by our dear departed colleague Dave Jones. To mark the occasion, @DrexelLibraries released the full video on YouTube!

It's well known that @DrexelUniv was the first to require ALL students to have a computer in 1984. But far less known is that computer was the original Mac, a bold decision made before the Mac was released! Read how Drexel is part of @Apple history here:

I have an opening in my lab at NJIT for a PhD student starting in Fall 2024. In particular, I'm looking for a student interested in human-AI collaboration for music composition, production, or performance.
Get in touch if interested!
Did OpenAI's board really take the one big lever they had (a non-profit governance structure) and flush it down the toilet?
There's no way they'll have that kind of oversight power moving forward. I fear it's purely investor-fueled for-profit goals from now on. *Sigh*
Hey, we know that guy!
Congrats again to @DrexelUniv alum Evan Ehlers and @sharingexcess for the amazing partnership with @BeastPhilanthr!
Why is @mrbeast holding a Drexel ID…?!?
It's an amazing partnership with Drexel alum Evan Ehlers & @sharingexcess, which redistributes unused food & produce, also at @DornsifeCenter! Check out the video from @BeastPhilanthr together with @RobinHoodNYC!

We’re incredibly proud of Evan Ehlers & @sharingexcess, a former ExCITe Seed Fund grantee! It’s amazing what @DrexelUniv students can do, esp. when you cross innovation with a deep commitment to civic engagement.
Regular produce distributions at @DornsifeCenter will start soon!

OMG. This is what innovative civic engagement looks like!
Evan Ehlers and @sharingexcess were at our @DornsifeCenter community dinner this week, distributing free produce to hundreds of community members. We’re incredibly excited their program will be at Dornsife twice monthly!
@TheCloseSchool alum Evan Ehlers was featured in a recent @MrBeast and @BeastPhilanthr video celebrating his non-profit organization, @sharingexcess, which has rescued and redistributed over 30 million pounds of food.
