What a night!
We had such a great time opening our doors on October 12 and welcoming an incredible group to our warehouse for autonomous demos, conversations, and drinks. Seeing everyone’s excitement as we shared what our team has been working so hard to build made the night especially rewarding.
A huge thank you to LA DeepTech and everyone who came out and made the event such a success! We can’t wait to host more events like this, bring more people behind the scenes, and keep sharing the progress we’re making as we build the future of robotics.
We’re hiring hardware and mechatronics interns and full-time engineers to help us build the next generation of robots!
If you like working hands-on, solving real hardware problems, and seeing what you build move in the real world, we’d love to hear from you.

On September 18, representatives from ANA and the Japan Warehousing/Logistics Association visited a customer site to see our robots performing live picks in a real warehouse environment.
Seeing the technology in production creates a different kind of conversation. It gave us the chance to discuss what matters most in day-to-day operations, from reliability and workflow fit to what it takes to scale robotics across different warehouse environments.
We’re grateful to ANA, the Japan Warehousing/Logistics Association, and ShipBots for the visit and for the thoughtful conversations around the future of warehouse automation.
We’re hiring at Yondu!
We’re building the robotic workforce of the future and working on some of the hardest problems in robotics, AI, software, and hardware.
At Yondu, you’ll work alongside a small, ambitious team building general-purpose robots for real-world use. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership, move quickly, and see your work make a direct impact on the technology we deploy.
If you’re excited about Physical AI, robot learning, and pushing the boundaries of what robots can do in the real world, we’d love to hear from you.
See our open roles, learn more, and submit your application here:

Excited to be speaking at PARCEL Forum 2026 in Orlando on September 15!
I’ll be talking about how robot learning is reshaping manual labor and what warehouse robotics is actually ready to deploy today. We’ll get into real examples from picking and how advances in Physical AI and low-cost hardware are changing what’s possible in warehouse automation.
If you’re attending PARCEL Forum, come join me on September 15 from 10:30–11:10 AM ET. Would love to meet you there!

Last week I attended my first MIT YC meetup! I caught up with old friends and met some incredible founders.
I learned a lot from founders who went through YC a decade+ ago.
Most importantly, I learned humility from how willing they were to listen to what I had to say and exchange ideas.
That’s one of the beauties of being in the MIT YC ecosystem. No matter what stage you are at in life, folks are willing to help.
Say hello to our latest intern class! At Yondu, we are extremely selective with a <1% acceptance rate. We look for folks that have built something relevant and impressive in the past.
From left to right:
Takatoshi: A robotics/vision Masters student with experience at HMS and Sony
Elias: A UMich Robotics Masters student with experience at Amazon Robotics
Suraj: A Robotics Masters graduate from Tsignhua university who was a cracked ML founding engineer at two previous startups and wrote two relevant robot learning papers
Coleman: MechE Masters student who leads hardware design at Battlebots team MadCatter
We built an agentic robotics video-labeling tool that reduces annotation costs while matching human accuracy.
The key idea was simple: give the VLM a video scrubber.
Instead of labeling from a fixed set of frames, the agent can request more timestamps and camera views, zoom in on event boundaries, and keep searching until it has enough context to label confidently.

We're excited to welcome Suraj back to Yondu for another internship, this time in person!
Since his last internship with us, Suraj has been pursuing his Master's at Tsinghua University, conducting research in embodied AI, and co-authoring a paper at IROS, one of the leading robotics conferences. He's already made great contributions to our robot learning work, and we're excited to have him back on the team. He's also the co-author of Robo-engine.
We hope this internship is a great learning experience and another opportunity to build robots that have real-world impact. Welcome back, Suraj!

I had the pleasure of visiting the Trossen office and getting an early preview of their latest hardware. We recorded two podcasts with their founder, Matt, and president, Anish, that I can't wait to share with everyone.
We discussed our aligned visions for the future of robotics, one built around point solutions rather than fully humanoid form factors in industry. We talked about the power of commoditized hardware paired with robot foundation models and how to turn that power into real-world solutions.
Yondu is officially at Automate 2026!
We're excited to meet customers, partners, investors, and fellow builders from across the robotics industry.
This year, we're showing live demos of our robots doing autonomous decanting and packing in warehouse workflows.
If you're attending the show, come stop by and say hello. You can find us at Booths #20165 and #1484.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in Chicago!

With our second product line we enable a fully autonomous warehouse. It’s the glimpse of our grand plan for end to end drop in automation for 3PLs.
Our semi humanoid robots can pick onto AMRs which bring carts to our autonomous packing robot.
With no infrastructure changes, quick ROI, and direct integration with major enterprise software layers you can rapidly automate all repetitive warehouse operations.
Introducing fully autonomous packing you can drop into your existing workflow. @weareshiphero native WMS integration, quick ROI, and flexible for direct to pack, bulk ship, and single/multi-item batch workflows.
At @AutomateShow, we're running a live demo of our robot arm loading an autobagger for autonomous packing.
We're partnering with @trossenrobotics and METIS to develop this technology!
Good luck, @chenouttaten !!!!
I'm excited to be speaking alongside technical executives from Google, Microsoft, Meta, Yahoo, Broadcom, Intuit, and more about the future of Physical AI at AI Con in Seattle today.
You can get a free pass that will give you access to all the talks happening today and tomorrow on the AI Con website. Or come see me in person at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Room W8, at 1:35 PM.

@Coveros
We’ll be at Automate 2026 in Chicago.
This year, we’ll be showcasing two live demos: autonomous decanting for automotive parts suppliers and autonomous packing. We’re excited to show what general-purpose robots can do when deployed on real warehouse workflows.
Automate is one of the biggest gatherings in robotics and industrial automation, bringing together the builders, operators, and innovators shaping the future of the industry.
If you’ll be there and want to talk humanoids, physical AI, warehouse automation, or what it takes to bring robots into production, we’d love to connect.
If you want to lock in time with our team in advance, send us a message and let’s set something up.

We’re excited to be attending IMPRINT on June 3 in San Francisco!
IMPRINT brings together the founders, operators, investors, and researchers building the next generation of Physical AI across robotics, manufacturing, supply chains, and autonomy.
This is exactly the future we’re building at Yondu. We believe the biggest impact of AI will come when it can perform useful work in the real world.
Looking forward to connecting with others building the future of Physical AI!
Most general-purpose robots are stuck in the lab, stationary, or automating dummy tasks that provide little to no value.
Yondu is the first company to deploy humanoids for dexterous, mobile tasks like bin-picking for 3PLs. This is normal for us. We are operating every single day, picking hundreds of orders without making mistakes. We integrate directly with ShipHero.
Of all the applications in warehousing, this is one of the most labor-intensive and costly. We are the only company in the world that can automate this task with general-purpose robots.

It was a pleasure doing a podcast with representatives from the government of Pflugerville. They’re one of the most innovative towns in America, investing heavily in advanced manufacturing.
We shared our perspective on helping revamp America’s industrial base and supporting the reshoring effort through drop-in general-purpose automation.
