Was STAR WARS shot with IMAX film cameras? No.
It was shot on 35mm film with anamorphic lenses. Select special effects shots were also captured on VistaVision and Technirama.
After the restoration process, the film will get blown up to 15-perf 70mm film for IMAX theaters.
Imagine if people got DLSS 5 working in Nuke or Davinci resolve and it was able to read the render layers and pass data from EXRs. I feel like there could be some interesting results.
