【プレスリリース】【神戸大学】評判に基づいた協力を支える仕組みを新たに発見 「協力したか」だけでなく「協力されたか」もカギ
「協力したか」だけでなく「協力されたか」も評価対象になりうるという、従来モデルへの単純な拡張だけで、評判に基づいた協力行動が可能になることを発見。この発見は、数理解析およびスーパーコンピュータ「富岳」を用いたコンピュータシミュレーションによって裏付けられた。
人間社会での評判形成において、本人が何をしたかだけでなく、他者からどう扱われたかも重要な情報になる可能性を提示。これにより、同調、協力、排斥などの集団行動に対する新たな理解につながることが期待される。

8/ The broader message is that “imperfect information” is not one thing.
Whether punishment helps or hurts depends on what kind of information is missing: unobserved actions, unknown reputations, assessment errors, implementation errors, or perception errors.
9/ In short: reputation-based cooperation is sensitive not only to how much information is missing, but to what kind of information is missing.

Professor Masuo Suzuki, Emeritus at the University of Tokyo, passed away on September 10, 2025, aged 88. He made seminal contributions to statistical physics, notably the Suzuki–Trotter decomposition. We deeply mourn his passing and extend our heartfelt condolences.
