There are maybe 3 or 4 issues *almost all* Americans agree on.
Hatred of the weaponized surveillance state is one of them 📸

Great job @realDonaldTrump! Just the fact that you actually acted to protect LA from rioters, got Gavin Newscum to do something to help! He has now called in police reinforcement to prove to daddy Trump that he's a big boy and can do it all by himself! 🤣😂
I wonder if we'll find out that USA-I-D has fished out illegal funds to push the NFL and NBA to go anti-American/woke as a propaganda tool. HMMM 🤔

Mr. President, I am an American, and I need your help. Only you, with your commitment to justice, can save me @realDonaldTrump

You guys have spent the last five years telling us we must listen to a 17 year-old Swedish teenager about climate change.
Your hypocrisy is not only noted, it was voted on this past November.

Unintended Consequences of SB25-003 Becoming Law knowing it will ultimately struck down as unconstitutional.
#copolitics #coleg @GovofCO @jaredpolis @LindseyForCO @TonyExum @Kyle_Mullica @Dylan_RobertsCO @MarcSnyderHD18
1. Massive Legal Costs to Taxpayers
When SB25-003 is finally overturned Colorado taxpayers will be on the hook for:
State’s legal defense costs: $8.75M – $21.5M
Plaintiffs' attorney fees (since the law was unconstitutional): $7M – $15M
Total potential taxpayer burden: $15.75M – $36.5M
2. Surge in semi auto Firearm Sales Before the Ban Takes Effect
Gun owners and new buyers will rush to purchase firearms before the law takes effect.
This will put thousands if not 10s of thousands of new firearms into circulation, especially semi-auto rifles and pistols - exactly opposite of the bill’s intent.
3. Businesses Will Close
Many Colorado gun shops will close due to significant lost revenue. Lost jobs, lost tax revenue.
Some gun retailers may also file lawsuits from lost revenue, lost businesses.
4. Increased Black Market & Private Sales
Criminals don’t follow gun laws. Restrictions won’t impact them.
Law-abiding gun owners may be pushed into private or underground markets to acquire banned firearms making them criminals when they should be free to purchase what is constitutionally protected.
Despite being "banned", ghost guns and DIY firearm manufacturing could rise as people try to circumvent restrictions.
5. Law Enforcement Confusion & Lack of Compliance
Sheriffs in pro-2A counties may refuse to enforce SB25-003, leading to legal battles between the state and local law enforcement.
Officers will be burdened with interpreting and enforcing a law that may be overturned.
6. Unintended Impact on Self-Defense Rights
Vulnerable individuals (women, elderly, disabled, etc.) will have a harder time obtaining the best tool for self-defense - semi automatic firearms that take detachable magazines.
The state could be sued if someone is harmed because they couldn’t obtain firearm best suited for self-defense - semi auto firearms that accept detachable magazines.
7. Wasting Legislative Time on a Losing Battle
Colorado lawmakers will waste countless hours passing a bill that will be tied up in court for years and ultimately overturned.
It's not just the lawmakers time, its time of thousands of good citizens that will have to fight against this unconstitutional bill.
Meanwhile, real crime problems go unaddressed.
Legislators: Say NO to this bad bill.
