Shout out to youth organizers from @yjpubos who made the case so powerfully for overriding the mayor’s budget vetoes. “We can never find money for youth jobs & affordable housing, but we can always find money for police,” said Nosica, demanding Councilors pass their amendments.

🎉 Amazing grassroots action! Youth activists from @yjpubos demand passage of budget amendments for youth jobs & #AffordableHousing. This action also called for well-funded #ParticipatoryBudgeting so community needs shape Boston's budget!✊ #bospoli

City council was able to move around 3 million from police funds and 11 million in total to youth jobs, affordable housing and community programs. Mayor Wu has the power to veto their proposed amended budget. Michelle, don't take away money from the community!
Please sign and share our petition before Monday to protect our wins and let her know what the people think!

I hope @MayorWu hears this brave student. Absolutely not OK for the already questionable Mass & Cass ordinance to be now weaponized against peaceful student protesters. We should be better than this in Boston.

Police are assembling to threaten arrests. Mayor Wu, at the State of the City you said "this is democracy at work" and arrested 20 people demanding: stop Israel's military training of BPD. You added $50 million to BPD. Stand for democracy, not for police and genocidal terror
