If you spend too much time on X, your belief system, values and worldview will inevitably be influenced, for better or worse. People underestimate how much what they consume here shapes their thinking and behaviour. You unconsciously pick up words, expressions, attitudes, biases and ways of reasoning without even realizing when or how you adopted them. There are words I use in real life that I picked up on this app, and I can barely remember when I started using them. X has influenced how people view relationships, marriage, money, success, politics, gender roles, parenting and even what they consider acceptable behaviour. People have picked up unhealthy relationship expectations, adopted political prejudices, developed unrealistic standards for success and normalized behaviours they would never have considered acceptable before. Others have learned valuable lessons, discovered new perspectives and become more informed. That is how powerful repeated exposure to ideas can be. The point is, you cannot spend a significant part of your life consuming content on a platform and assume it has no effect on you. Learn to filter what you consume. Question the ideas you encounter, take what is useful, reject what is harmful and never adopt a belief simply because it is popular on X.
