Heartbreaking. Limoges town hall in France, standing since 1883, has burned during tonight's riots, and its bell tower has just collapsed 💔 Whatever people are angry about, 143 years of history gone in one evening. xitter.cf/Xirthe_v1/status/21115…

Astronomers have found the first star that would actually look green to the human eye The catch? It's a dead star, and it got that colour from the remains of planets it ripped apart and swallowed. It's a white dwarf about 280 light-years away, and the green comes from sodium-rich debris left by the shredded planets.

A fire tornado. In the middle of a city street. In France 😳🌪️🔥 These normally only show up in massive wildfires, not on a Saturday afternoon in Clermont-Ferrand.

The Napping-Dementia Link: What Older Adults Need to Know A 10-year study by Johns Hopkins tracked nearly 1,000 dementia-free adults aged 65 and older. The findings show a link between frequent daytime napping and an elevated risk of developing dementia. Before anyone cancels their Sunday nap. This is a link, not proof that naps cause dementia. Nodding off without meaning to might be an early warning sign, not the cause. Nap responsibly 😴

The TV licence could be extended to YouTube and Netflix. The TV licence was invented when Britain had one channel and a test card. Charging it on YouTube and Netflix is like putting a stamp on your emails to save the Royal Mail 📺

Farmed salmon in Norway and Scotland are starting to be fed chicken by-products like bones, organs and offcuts. Why? fishmeal prices have soared, and wild salmon eat other fish, so producers say it's "entirely natural" protein. What about omega-3. Salmon get it from what they eat, so less fish in the feed could mean a less healthy fillet. Should it have to say so on the label?

New footage of the #Nortefire
Southern California now has another one. The Norte Fire in San Clemente is at 250 acres and 0% contained, with evacuation orders for parts of San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano. That's on top of the Henderson Fire at Camp Pendleton (2,000+ acres) and the Bryson Fire near Malibu. Stay safe, California
