i just went to the courthouse to pick up my approved name change forms only to find that they not only misspelled my new name but also baselessly checked the box saying id have to register as a sex offender. the california legal system does NOT care about trans people.
i filed an amendment and the nice lady at the counter said she'd get it processed by end of day but i'm obviously still furious and humiliated that this happened at all
