Thrilled to announce that Trucksmarter has joined @PoeticHQ. Dan Kao will lead operations, and the rest of the team will focus on accelerating our work in supply chain.
Dan is a force of nature. He got his start as DoorDash’s youngest GM, where he ran all of Canada. He then led one of Uber’s largest business units, scaling freight from zero to $500M+ revenue.
We met years ago through @foundersfund, who backed us both. I watched Trucksmarter grow to a $500M+ lending business, serve 1M+ truckers, and facilitate billions of transactions.
The most important companies on earth run as a collection of thousands of archaic processes. Poetic learns each one from experts, translates it into self-healing code, and proposes improvements so companies can evolve past where they got stuck.
As we began running core operations at the largest manufacturers, we realized it was possible to leapfrog old approaches to classic problems like scheduling, forecasting, and procurement. To move faster, we needed a team who knew the industry deeply.
We’re lucky Dan and the team decided to join the fight.
Today we're announcing that Modal has crossed $1B in annualized run rate, as well as raised a $750M Series D at a $15.75B valuation, led by @Accel.
Since our Series C, usage has tripled and we’ve grown more than 15x year-over-year.
We are deeply grateful to the developers and companies building on Modal. There's still so much more to build, and we can't think of a better time to be building software.
Give your LLM more DSLs! Some fun learnings from building a deep-research harness that has to do hardcore context management.

anyone have a good alternative to @Cloudflare "Custom Hostnames for SaaS" / API-driven wildcard DNS + cert provisioning? cc @eastdakota we've spent a week trying to pay you for this and keep getting told we need to go to a reseller to get it (??)
😄
we’re excited to share that we’ve raised $20M (from Accel, Index, & Emergence) to build the 'ai-native Slack' you've all been craving
TLDR; ando is a team messaging platform built fresh, from the ground, up for a world where agents act as real collaborators alongside us.
we have teams using us across 15 countries, and spanning industries like software, financial services, real estate, & more

Finally got around to publishing the hooks framework I've been using to run 40+ @claudeai sessions in parallel daily while maintaining excellent code quality! It's self-improving and opens about a PR a day with new rules for me. Some of my favorite use cases below! yasyf.github.io/captain-hook…
Seems like @ClaudeDevs are onto a similar idea: xitter.cf/ClaudeDevs/status/2095…; my learnings here are build a really solid stdlib for claude to use with the hooks, and make testing+iteration really simple.

Sorry to be a grumpy old man, but 6-7 is one of the worst memes ever invented. Even worse than The Game.

I love the idea of toggling a verbose flag on someone.

Replying to @cljack
I love this mentality. personally, I know I’m annoying af and was born with the —verbose flag on, so the fallout from being disliked because of these things barely bothers me anymore.
no one is for everyone, and that’s the beauty of being human
