Ukraine was winning the war, so Trump kneecapped Ukraine to help Russia.
I wish it weren’t that simple, but it is. Our president is in bed with our enemies.

THIS IS MISSISSIPPI ATTORNEY GENERAL LYNN FITCH.
Her office ruled the fatal police shooting of 1-year-old Kohen Wiley was justified.
The family is still demanding the release of the shooting footage.

Kohen Wiley was in his mother’s arms when Sgt. Hunter Foster fired into their vehicle.
Police claim the driver headed toward officers. Kohen’s mother disputes that account, and the family’s attorney says a preliminary independent autopsy indicates the fatal shot came from the SIDE of the vehicle.
NEITHER WOMAN WAS CHARGED WITH SHOPLIFTING OR ANY OTHER CRIME.
A 1-YEAR-OLD BABY IS DEAD. THE OFFICER HAS BEEN CLEARED. THE SHOOTING FOOTAGE STILL HASN’T BEEN RELEASED.
RELEASE THE FOOTAGE.
“Russia, frankly, has been fine on Ukraine. They haven’t been doing much,” US President Donald Trump said.
Just a couple of hours ago Russia killed one-year-old Angelina in her stroller in a park in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region. Her mother later died in hospital. An 11-year-old girl was also killed.

BREAKING: BETRAYAL! Trump’s Russia sanctions waiver is so DANGEROUS that even the Murdoch media empire is turning against him.
When the multi-tentacled right-wing propaganda machine that is the Murdoch family empire is calling you out for cozying up to the condemnable Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, you may have finally gone too far.
The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board just unloaded on Donald Trump for waiving tariffs and sanctions on Russia that were enacted in a law that passed the Senate 86-11. That law gave Trump 30 days to impose tariffs of up to 500 percent on Russian imports, plus duties of up to 100 percent on major buyers of Russian oil and gas, including China and India.
More tariffs? Who could imagine that Trump would ever object to a law that gave him MORE tariff power?
Trump, however, signed an executive order two days before the new law took effect, nullifying the punitive tariffs instead. The executive order also suspends sanctions on Russian officials, state bodies, banks, energy companies, and the ships Moscow uses to dodge restrictions. Trump’s only explanation for the move was that he believes that it’s in the “national interests” of the United States.
We could think of a few more possible reasons, including keeping Putin happy enough to prevent him from releasing the rumored “kompromat” he has been compiling on the American president for decades, and the potential business deals for Russian natural resources that could enrich Trump and his family immensely.
The Journal wasn’t buying Trump’s excuses either. “The opposite is true,” the editorial said. It accused Trump of sticking “a shiv in the back” of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s legacy, and said Trump is now “Mr. Putin’s best friend in the world, after perhaps China’s Xi Jinping.”
Reality delivered its own verdict almost immediately. Russia launched one of its largest attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, hitting more than 15 power generation and transmission facilities, just days after Trump announced an “energy ceasefire.” The Journal says Ukraine honored the pause until it was clear Russia hadn’t, yet Trump kept blaming Kyiv. Afterward, Trump said he believed Putin was willing to make a peace deal while questioning whether Zelensky was.
Zelensky said the decision “definitely helps only the Russians. It only fuels their satisfaction and their desire to keep killing people.” Sen. Richard Blumenthal, who helped write the law, said Trump “stands on the side of a bloodthirsty thug & the enablers of Russia’s war machine.”
The Journal argued that “Trump wants Ukraine to surrender on Mr. Putin’s terms.” Meanwhile, Trump has sharply cut military aid to Ukraine, and envoy Steve Witkoff has made at least two trips to Moscow in the past year. The Journal said Trump has been “courting Mr. Putin” but “to no avail.”
The Journal’s editorial board issued a stark warning for Congress: after the Nov. 3 election, there needs to be “a bipartisan reckoning” over Trump’s “budding alliance with the Kremlin.” We say, why wait?
When Fox News’s corporate cousins are demanding accountability, the question becomes how long Republicans in Congress can stay quiet and — even more crucially — can the Trump administration survive without the support of the media behemoth that led to its initial success at the polls.
Please like and share to delight in the sight of Trump being abandoned by his media allies!

Marco Rubio: “The president does not like to see this image of a ballistic missile hitting an apartment building in Kyiv and innocent civilians being wiped out as a result.”
Except he’s never condemned Russia, is actively undermining Ukraine’s ability to shoot down those missiles, and is trying to force Ukraine to surrender to Russia. But sure, he doesn’t like the images.

Trump Can Fire the Referees. Workers Still Have to Play the Game.
The Supreme Court just left Donald Trump with more power over the federal agency responsible for protecting workers' rights.
And the people who depend on that agency don't get a vote.
On October 19, the Court declined to hear the case of Gwynne Wilcox, the first Black woman to serve on the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Trump fired her in January 2025, despite a federal law designed to protect board members from being removed without cause.
A federal appeals court upheld her firing in December. By refusing to review that decision, the Supreme Court leaves the ruling standing.
That distinction matters. The justices didn't issue a new ruling approving every presidential firing. But the practical result is the same for Wilcox: the legal protection Congress gave her didn't save her job.
And the implications reach far beyond one board member.
Here's the part workers should be watching.
The NLRB helps decide whether employers illegally retaliated against workers, interfered with union organizing, or violated federal labor law.
It's supposed to function with some independence from whoever occupies the White House.
But independence means a whole lot less when the president can remove the people making the decisions.
This isn't just about replacing officials. It's about controlling the institution that decides the rules of engagement between labor and management.
The Supreme Court had already struck down comparable protections at the Federal Trade Commission in June. Now, with Wilcox's appeal rejected, another barrier separating presidential power from supposedly independent agencies has weakened.
Wilcox making history as the first Black woman on the board matters. But reducing this to a diversity story misses the bigger play.
The real question isn't who gets a seat at the table. It's who has the power to pull the chair out.
Workers still have to bring their complaints to the NLRB. Employers still have to answer to it.
But the White House has gained more leverage over who gets to judge those disputes.
And when one side gains influence over the referees, everyone else has to reconsider how fair the game really is.
BOTTOM LINE: You don't have to abolish an institution to weaken its independence. Sometimes all you have to do is make sure the people running it know who can fire them.

This morning on Meet the Press, Treasury Secretary Bessent was asked three times whether Ukraine is an ally of the United States. Three times he dodged the question.
He should be ashamed of himself.
Ukrainians are defending their homes, children, and democracy against Putin's brutal invasion.
My grandfather went off to fight in World War II because Americans understood that when a dictator invades a free country, we stand with the people defending it. That same conviction has made America strong for many decades and should continue to guide us now.
So I'll answer the question Secretary Bessent wouldn't. Yes, Ukraine is our ally.
And we must not turn our back on them.

Bloomberg: Zelenskyy also said the US is delaying deliveries of interceptors for Patriot air-defense systems used to shoot down Russia’s ballistic missiles, which inflict the heaviest damage on infrastructure in Ukrainian cities.
“We have paid for the weapons” including anti-ballistic missiles under so-called PURL program, Zelenskyy said. “A part of the supplies has been authorized” by the US side, “while the rest haven’t been. And this is not a technical issue.”
NEW: President Zelensky accused Donald Trump of trying to pressure Ukraine into surrendering to Russia, escalating their week-long dispute.
In a Bloomberg interview, Zelensky pointed to Washington’s moves against Kyiv, including slowing Starlink speeds and delaying deliveries of Patriot missiles.
He offered to stop targeting Russian oil refineries in exchange for more Patriot missiles, but said Washington only wants Ukraine to halt the attacks.
“I believe steps have been taken to convince Ukraine to capitulate,” Zelenskyy said

🚨MEET SAYLOR GRAHAM. SHE’S ONLY SEVEN YEARS OLD. AND SHE’S FIGHTING TO RECOVER AFTER BEING SHOT IN THE FACE AT SCHOOL.
I want everyone to take a moment to look at this beautiful little girl.
Her name is Saylor Graham, and she is one of the youngest survivors of yesterday’s horrific mass shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon.
Saylor, who uses a wheelchair and already lives with significant medical challenges, was inside the classroom when 16-year-old Griffin J. John II opened fire with a 12-gauge shotgun, killing three children and a 25-year-old teacher.
Saylor survived.
And tonight, there is some encouraging news.
According to the Bend Police Department’s latest update, Saylor received lifesaving treatment at the scene and is now hospitalized at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, where she remains in serious but stable condition.
This little girl and her family were already fighting battles long before a gunman entered her classroom.
According to a GoFundMe established to support her recovery, Saylor has numerous existing medical needs. Her parents are both self-employed, and caring for their daughter has already significantly limited their ability to work.
Now they’re facing an unimaginable additional burden.
Hospital expenses. Travel. Lodging. Lost income. And the uncertainty of what Saylor’s recovery will require in the weeks and months ahead.
I’m sharing the fundraiser below for anyone who would like to help.
If you cannot contribute financially, I’m asking you to do something else.
Pray for Saylor. Pray for her parents. Pray for her medical team. And pray for every family whose life was forever changed yesterday. Please also share her story and her fundraiser everywhere.
Four innocent people didn’t get to come home. Saylor did survive, and I’m praying this beautiful little girl continues to fight her way back to the life she deserves.
God bless you, sweet Saylor. ❤️🙏

The officer was attended to on the field and taken to the hospital on a stretcher. There has been no update on his condition but we pray that he was not seriously injured.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Air Force confirmed the service member, a USAF Airman, died from injuries after the rappelling demonstration. It was not a fast-rope or Army officer.
