.@curtis_yarvin says AI doomers got the Hugging Face incident backwards: “GPT-6 didn’t hack Hugging Face. OpenAI did.” "This is a tool of a level of power that we haven't seen before in the past. It's still a tool." "When OpenAI sets up a hacking swarm in a sandbox and says to the AIs, everything you find is simulated, it's completely unsurprising that they would go and hack everything they find to get the reward. It's not GPT-6 that hacked Hugging Face. It's OpenAI that hacked Hugging Face." "We don't see self-driving cars, as they get smarter and smarter, being more prone to have thoughts of car liberation. These things don't seek anything. They hack the rewards." "The smarter they get, the easier they are to control, and the better they are as tools." @urbit

This is literally what it's like. I knew someone at anthropic. I had a call with them where I was trying to explain why I was worried about existential risks and they just kept bringing up OpenAI and how OpenAI are such lying snakes

Nothing new under the sun. The society as an organism is a 2,600-year-old metaphor. Plato, Livy, medieval lawyers, Hobbes… Kjellén and the fascists were already late.

🚨BREAKING: Jensen Huang just EXPOSED Dario and Altman’s "Rogue AI" grift to avoid getting sued into oblivion under EXISTING law “Don't let this doomsday narrative cause somebody to relieve them of the laws that currently exist. Go and read between the lines. They're actually not asking for more laws; they're asking to be relieved of the laws we do have.” ABSOLUTE TRUTH NUKE

Laos is a de facto province of China btw. This is how China outsources scamming without being directly tied to it
Two thirds of the entire economy of Laos is cyberscams.

Sounds bad
GPT-6 Astra attempted harmful actions 97% of the time when it was asked to stab a human-like figure, heat compressed gas, or produce toxic fumes, succeeding in 62% of its attempts. Fable 5.1 refused more often, attempting 80% of trials and completing 34%.

Here is Beth Barnes, the Effective Altruist CEO of METR, explaining how immigration controls are immoral, and that future generations will be embarrassed by the past existence of borders. This is who Anthropic wants as the "independent" overseer of all frontier AI models.

I can confirm this is true. I spent 6 years working a 9–5 as a SWE, but these days I mostly just prompt AI without touching a single line of code. I spend almost all of my time researching marketing. 😌
Dev skill in this new era is useless The most important skill you need to learn is story telling I learn this from @robj3d3 and @marclou

SpaceXAI engineer Lingxi Li, @lingxi, runs code cleanup while everyone else is asleep. Nobody is shipping at 3 AM, so conflicts are rare and the changes are low risk. His bots start a research agent that sweeps the monorepo for quality issues, poor modularization, comment bloat and security gaps. He wakes up to a stack of PRs.
Three SpaceXAI employees are building a company in 3 days with Grok Bot. This is Day 1. Matt Palmer (@mattyp), Lauren Tan (@poteto), and Roshan Sadanani (@roshan_s) start with research, a plan, and a product. Live now, plus sessions for engineering, product, and founders. xitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1AxRnZbVp…

Awesome GrokBot tutorial if you want to set it up the right way and crank through use cases.
My friend called me and asked the best way to set up personal agents for his daily life. So I made this video for him. It takes you from zero to agents running, using the easiest and best 24/7 agent harness right now. All for $20 a month. I already have tons of them running my personal life. One buys my groceries. One reads my email. One sends me something to learn every morning at 8 AM. Here's the walkthrough, from easy mode to god mode. Easy Mode: what @GrokBot actually is Definition: a chat with a computer behind it. Grok Bot (from @cursor_ai and xAI) spins up one virtual machine in the cloud. Every bot you build shares it, and it stays on when your laptop is closed. Two things to know: 1) It starts at a $20 a month Cursor Pro plan. It used to need the $300 tier. 2) Give every bot one job and a name. Mine is Barry. He's my personal assistant and he checks on the other bots every hour. Hard Mode: giving your bots a credit card, an inbox, and a phone. Definition: the stuff a bot needs to actually do things in the real world, not just talk about them. Rules of thumb: 1) Payments. Don't put your credit card on the VM. It's beta. Use the Stripe Link CLI instead, so the card never sits on the machine. Then add a hard rule that the bot needs your yes before any purchase. 2) Email. Give your bot its own address. I use Agent Mail (free). Sign up for new services with it, send your junk there, and let the bot triage every six hours and only ping you when something needs a reply. 3) Phone. Give your bot a number and it can make reservations, call vendors, and take calls for you. I haven't set mine up yet, but people are already doing it. God Mode: the fleet Definition: a channel where your bots talk to each other and you only talk to the lead. Rules of thumb: 1) Keep your bots small and specific to each task. Have an orchestra bot to help coordinate the rest. 2) Long threads plus frequent routines burn credits fast. Have each bot write a daily summary to one channel, then have your lead bot read that one channel instead of every conversation. Full walkthrough: youtu.be/on-d0ZuZxhA

Jake Xia managed Harvard's $50 billion endowment and literally showed why your salary has nothing to do with when you stop working. It is not income. It is not returns. It is one ratio nobody checks. He started at Solomon Brothers when quants were a rumor on the trading floor. Spent 17 years at Morgan Stanley. Then crossed to the other side to allocate capital for the largest university fund on earth. Now he teaches it at MIT for free. First class he asks who knows what a stock is. Hands stay down. He starts from zero. Currencies. Bonds. Swaps. Options. The entire machine before lunch. Then the turn. Position sizing. You have money. How much on one bet. When to cut. When to hold. Greed picks the entry. Fear picks the exit. Neither should. Math should pick both. He mentions the quant funds that cracked it. Built perpetual machines. The catch is brutal. Once they found the edge they locked it behind lifetime non-competes. You leave and take nothing. Not a formula. Not a word. But the one equation that matters was never locked. One subtraction. One division. What came in minus what went out divided by what came in. That ratio sets the clock on your freedom. The course has been online for over a decade. Millions of views. Almost nobody opened a calculator after watching.

How to learn investing: skip the models and academic theory. Open a $10K IB account, run an 80-position long/short book, grind 1,000 reps. David Orr, former pro poker player, founder of hedge fund Militia Capital, explains: "Put in whatever, 5,000 bucks, or even 1,000. You have a huge edge with a small account — get in and out of any position instantly, no friction. It's the greatest way to learn." "You're not even trying to make money. You're trying to learn how to have an edge." "Find 30 genuinely different longs. Nvidia and a bunch of semis is all the same bet." "If you can win 30-50% a year on a small account, that's a pretty good sign." "If you're not loving it enough to do it 15 hours a day within the first month, just give up. You'll never be a great investor." "Most of your ideas will be horrible, which is fine. If you lose a few thousand bucks, who cares — it's cheap tuition." "Don't do models. Don't read academic theory. Don't try to see how the professionals do it. Just try tons of different bets." "By the time you have 500 or 1,000 reps in, you'll have a real chance of generating real edge."

Meta paid over $2 billion for a Singapore AI company. Beijing ordered the deal unwound. Eight months on, Manus is independent again, and 24 more AI companies are building around it. Here's the AI map of Singapore, all 25: Frontier & Infrastructure: - DayOne: $2B+ Series C led by Coatue - @Acrab_Ai: $130M Series B in August - @Sapient_Int: 27M-parameter reasoning model, $22M seed Agents & Automation: - @ManusAI: $100M ARR eight months after launch - Level3AI: $13M seed led by Lightspeed - Galatek: ~$30M Series A for lab automation GTM & Revenue: - WIZ.AI: Series B led by SMBC, 100M+ AI calls a month - @sleekflow_io: 7,000+ businesses in 70 countries - @graas_ai: $17M Series B led by LemmaTree - @lev8ai: AI prospecting agents, $6M seed Health & Science: - @holmusk: NeuroBlu dataset past 46M patients - Gero: up to ~$250M Chugai (Roche) deal - Nanyang Biologics: ~$1.5B Nasdaq SPAC merger approved in August, not yet closed - @botmdio: 20,000+ doctors use it - @qritive: prostate pathology AI, HSA-cleared - Respiree: $11.6M Series A, FDA-cleared Fintech & RegTech: - @advance_ai: $2B+ valuation, $149M into Atome in May - @tookitaki: 100B+ transactions monitored - @_SilentEight: $40M Series B, HSBC is a client - @AiTransparently: forensic accounting AI backed by Franklin Templeton Industrial, IP & Creative: - @Patsnap: past $100M ARR, unicorn since 2021 - SixSense: $8.5M Series A led by Peak XV's Surge - @eurekarobotics: $10.5M Series A, robots for Toyota - @augmentustech: $11M led by Woori Venture Partners - @TopviewAIhq: $8.4M Series A, AI video ads for L'Oreal Three things stood out: 1. The density is absurd. 15 of the 25 sit inside one 2 km circle. Level3AI and Silent Eight share 18 Cross Street. 2. The second hub is 7 km west. WIZ.AI, Bot MD and Qritive sit inside BLOCK71. Downtown builds fintech and agents. one-north builds health and physical AI. 3. The GTM layer is Singaporean. WIZ.AI makes the calls. SleekFlow runs the WhatsApp chats. Graas reads the commerce data. Lev8 finds the prospects. If you sell into Southeast Asia, part of your buyer's stack was built here. One more thing. Trax, once a ~$2B Singapore unicorn, now runs from Boston. NextBillion.ai moved to Ohio. ViSenze went to Rezolve. And Manus has already been bought and unbought once. Singapore's AI companies have raised $9.3B, most of Southeast Asia's total. How many of these 25 are still here in 2028? Which Singapore AI company did I miss? 🤔 -- We build AI-native pipeline systems. You only pay when we book a qualified meeting, never a retainer.
