Here is a 2nd part to "If Jesus never claimed to be GOD ..." So the question is what DID Jesus claim and what was his source? Turns out he quoted the Hebrew Bible in many places and so did his followers. James Tabor (a Prof of early Christianity) explains.

Shalom Everyine ... so Tom Wegner and myself were at the first Worldwide Noahide Congress (still going on in Jerusalem) this past Wednesday night. Tom is the Executive Director of the Abrahamic Movement, and I'm the Special Envoy for Christians and Noahides for the Abrahamic Movement.
It was a wonderful dinner event ... well organizaed and structured ... some of my longtime friends were there (from Texas) and a new friend from the UK whom I had not met in person until Wednesday night.
Here is a great video about the Noahide Movement ... along with Biblical Christians they are some of the most staunch supporters of Israel (and the Jewish people) in the world of today. GOD bless every one of them ..

Salvation is from GOD himself ... not anyone else ... Paul makes this very clear in his writings ... we are saved by grace (from GOD) through faith (in GOD) and not of works less anyone should boast (not an exact quote). Jesus (and John the immerser) both taught repentance from sin ... and to become rightous ... so as to come closer to GOD and to not have to suffer a purification of the soul in the next world due to unrepentant sins (dark stains) on the souls of the departed.

God gave us the law and fulfilled it in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. After mans fall, we became spiritually dead, we need a Savior, to make payment for our sins. Christ eating and drinking with sinners, points to the fact He came for sinners.
The "way, truth and light" are terms for the Torah and Jesus was a Pharisee, a teacher of the Torah and of Jewish Law ... it is not literal, but metaphorical. He is saying that his teachings are the TRUE Torah for the Jews to follow ... everything has to be kept in the context of everything else and of the Judaism of Jesus' day (Second Temple period of Judaism). This background is taught by very few ... unfortunately, and certainly not by the antisemitic Roman Church people with their "replacement theology" doctine/dogma.
No one comes to the Father except by me (meaning his teachings). So if "I and the Father are one" means "one and the same" ... what do you do with exact same word used in John chapter 17 .... when Jesus prays to GOD the Father about his disciples "so that they may be one as we are one". It must have the same meaning ... no?
The verse that says "before Abraham was, I am"? It os fascinating to think that the verse was trying to say that the GOD who appeared to Moses at the burning bush (and used that expression) was Jesus ... because there is no present tense of the verb "to be" in Hebrew. We say in Hebrew "I here" ... there is no AM. So the proper translatiion of that verse in the Hebrew Bible (of Moses at the burning bush) is "I shall be as I shall be" (future tense). The Roman Church demanded (historically) in all Hebrew Bibles that verse be translated that-a- way because of the verse in John's Gospel, and the way it had been translated from the Greek.

I am the Way, the Truth and the Light, no one comes to the Father except me. I am the Father are One. Truly, truly I tell you, before Abraham was, I am.
The Muslims also believe Jesus was a prophet in his day (from verses like this one) ... but not the Jewish Messiah and certainly not GOD ... the Muslims also do not worship a man as GOD ... they are struct momotheists like us Jews.

When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
There are mistranslations and misunderstandings involed in these things ... people are not taught the Jewish baclground of 2nd Temple Judaism ... the Vatican says Jesus was a Jew "according to the flesh" - but they won't admit that he was a religious Jew, of the theology of Judaism of his day, and a Pharisee (a teacher of Jewish Law in his day).
Second the Jews of his day DID NOT accuse him of anything ... according to Gospel of Matthew it was a few loud voices in a mob (most likely urges on by the Chief Rabbis of the Temple (Saduccees) and the Scribes (and Mstthew's is the ONLY witness account of this version of Jesus appearing before Pilate). It's not enough (under Jewish Law) ... a person has to be accused of a crime (under Jewish Law) who both witnessed his doing the crime ... where are the 2 witnesses (testifying in a Jewish Court) in order to justify the death sentence (of a Jewish Court). A mob? And then the Roman Soldiers take him away to have him flogged before being executed Roman style on a Roman Cross. But the Jews get the blame? Why? From whose authority did the Roman soldiers execute him? From the authority of Herod Antipas (sone of Herod the Great) to whom Pilate has sent Jesus (see the Gospel of Luke). Because Jesus was from the Galilee and Herod Antipas was Roman ruler of the Galilee (in Jerusalem at that time for the Passover). We have the proof of this today ... @BjornGorn1 @shane_pruitt78

Funny, the Jewish authorities and the Jews accused him of exactly the thing you said Jesus never said he was. Irony I believe fits this description.
So First of all ... those "great works" were from THE FATHER (always understood as GOD Almighty, and GOD the Father ... and they were never understood in Judaism as being a criteria for the Messiah. The Jewish Messiah of the Hebrew Bible MUST filfill the prophecies (from that same GOD, as given to the Hebrew Prophets in their day) - or he dies, with those prophecies unfulfilled (like so many iothers) which then means he was NOT the Jewish Messiah in his day.
The blasphemy they were accusing him of was in using the very sacred name of GOD the Father - which even at that time was not uttered out loud except in the Temple and on the holiest day of the calendar (Yom Kippur). And "being a man, make yourself GOD" is another proof Jesus was not GOD, Hebrew Bible is clear GOD is not a man. They accused him of that (or in the Greek it might have been better stated "make yourself LIKE a god) if he had used the sacred name in oppoition to the Torah (because of how sacred it is). Lots of Jewish background and misunderstandings (and listranslations from the Greek) are behind many of these misunderstandings (voluntary and involuntary).

Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?” The Jews answered him, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.”

BRING ME HOME
The Story of the Bnei HaAnusim
I wrote this song in collaboration with Yaffah Batya daCosta, who approached me with something she felt was urgent and deeply important. She wanted to bring my attention to a part of our Jewish family that many people around the world know very little about: our brothers and sisters known as the Bnei HaAnusim.
But who are they?
More than 500 years ago, during the persecution of Jews in Spain and Portugal, countless Jewish families were forced to choose between abandoning their faith, leaving their homes, or facing terrible consequences.
Many were forced to convert to Christianity. Some continued to practise their Jewish traditions secretly, passing fragments of their heritage from parents to children, often at enormous personal risk.
Their descendants became known as Bnei HaAnusim, meaning “children of the forced ones.”
Today, centuries later, descendants of these families are rediscovering their Jewish roots. Many are seeking to reconnect with the Jewish people, reclaim their heritage, and, for those who wish to, find their way to the land of Israel.
When Yaffah brought this story to me, I knew it was important enough to write a song about.
Because to me, this is not simply a story about the past. It’s a story about identity, belonging, family, and the extraordinary resilience of the Jewish soul.
I believe it is time to reach out to these long-separated branches of our family, embrace them, help them reconnect with their heritage, and support those who dream of returning to Israel.
That is why we created “Bring Me Home.”
My hope is that through music, we can give a voice to their story, awaken curiosity, open hearts, and encourage more people to learn about this remarkable chapter of Jewish history.
Please, take a moment to learn who the Bnei HaAnusim are. Share their story. Help reconnect our people. And for those who wish to return, let’s help bring them home.
Because after 500 years, their story deserves to be heard.

A voice that helped expose the atrocities of October 7 has been silenced on X.
Uri, the man behind the @HamasAtrocities dedicated his time and energy raising awareness about the atrocities committed on October 7. Recently he was suspended from this platform with no luck to reinstate it.
At a time when documenting these events and ensuring the victims are not forgotten remains so important, the loss of an account with such a significant audience is deeply concerning.
Regardless of where people stand politically, the ability to document events, share information, and bring attention to atrocities matters. Those who have worked to ensure the horrors of October 7 are not forgotten deserve support when they face challenges of their own.
Uri has launched a GoFundMe to fight the suspension and address the challenges of losing an account of this size.
If you followed him and valued his efforts to raise awareness, please consider supporting his fundraiser and sharing the link.
Help amplify his voice in a time where media wants it to be silenced.

There is ZERO freedom of religion for the Jewish people (for some Christians) - who according to their beliefs Jews MUST convert to Christianity pr they will go to hell (which has no resemblance to 1st century or nascent Christianity). 1st century was a Jewish movement of the Nazarene Jews (i.e. of Torah observant Jesus and his followers HQ in Jerusalem) ... and later Paul with his outreach to the Gentiles (godfearers). See for yourself what these people are doing here at the Kotel in Jerusalem, and hear for yourself their rhetoric ...

Is this Israeli propaganda? Tell me what you think ... especially when someone says if anyone objects, they are demonic. On the 3rd anniversaey of the Hamas massacre, they are going to do this? And if there's an uproar - or backlash - it will be covered by the Int'l media and the Israelis will be blamed (again) of course. Not the Christians who are being insensitive to Jews in our holiest place. @AvitalLeibovich @YosephHaddad

When most people would freeze, Israelis storm the cockpit and save everyone on board.

Similar to the American passengers on the flight that was hijacked in 2001 and they had to crash the plane and lose their lives rather than allow the hijackers to have their way. Shalom Gabe,
It is insane - but there is also another word for it. PAGAN
The Romans were the ones to bring antisemitism (Jew hatred) into Christianity over the 2nd and 3rd centuries (via the writings of the Church Fathers, all antisemites). And then it was established (the Roman version) as a religion. The Roman Universal (Catholic) Church as the one religion for the entire Roman Empire at the Council of Nicea and forced at the point of a sword. The Roman occupation of Judea was always brutal and horiffic ... thousands of Jews (men and women both) were hung on crosses naked on the streets and thoroughfares of Judea and Galilee during their occupation. The early Christians (aka non-Jewish god fearers) were sent to the amphitheatres to be eaten alive by lions for their disobedience to the Roman rule that everyone in the Empire had to participate in the Imperial Cult (of Emperor worship) except Jews. Any non-Jew in the empire who wanted to follow a different path (like the teachings of Jesus or Paul) were to be treated with the Roman tools of cancel culture: 1) censorship, 2) propaganda, 3) character assassination and 4) violence (including murder of course). The history of the forced converts of the Sephardic Jews of Spain and Portugal who left to settle in the New World (today's Latin America) is also relevant. The Inquisition authorities followed them to those Spanish and Portuguese countries and treated them to the 4 t's for over 400 years (i.e. trauma, torture, terror and termination). Is it really any wonder that there are some Christians today, Roman Catholic as well as Protestant (who grew up being taught replacement theology) who continue to want to harm and lie about (slander and libel) the Jews. REALLY ?
@EinhornGabe @AvitalLeibovich @YosephHaddad
I’ve been in Israel for 4 days and I already lost over 2,000 followers on Instagram just from posting about it.
That’s insane.
That was my initial worry. But if people unfollow me just for being Jewish and showing Israel, they never supported me anyway. They don’t like me for who I am or my people.
I’m going to keep showing the truth.
I’m interviewing Muslims, Christians, and people from all walks of life here who live peacefully together, showing what the media refuses to show.
Never back down from your people and never back down from your faith. God’s got you.
