Currently on a flight where the predicted turbulence is too great for cabin service, according to the crew. From my view in coach, I can see that first class on the same plane is somehow safely immune from the turbulence.

I've said it many times, Liz. There were many things wrong with the country leading up to the referendum but being a member of the EU was not one of them and the country pulled the wrong lever to fix its problems. @andyburnham needs to ignore the biased commentary and go full throttle in rejoining the EU. He wanted the country to rejoin in his lifetime. There's no better opportunity than when he's the actual PM.

The defence telling the court “he’s actually a nice person this was very out of character and he’s focusing on rehabilitation and self improvement” makes me fucking sick how do these cunts sleep at night

Andy Burnham has just blown the Brexit debate wide open. The FT reports he told Ursula von der Leyen Britain is ready to look again at closer relations with Europe — potentially including REJOINING the EU. This is moving very fast.

A friend’s child is down today with a nasty flu-like illness. Another friend was at a conference where speakers and delegates were talking about the same thing: a flu-like illness lasting two or three weeks, with some of them still suffering from it now. Are we really still pretending covid disappeared because we stopped talking, testing and reporting on it?

If John Healey's "She will always be remembered as the first female Chancellor" was supposed to be a complement, I'd hate to be on the end of his insults. Shite bag. She'll be remembered as the CX who rebuilt our economy from decay. He'll just be remembered as a backstabber.

@andyburnham has not given me Hope, but Apathy. I waited so long to have a leader like @Keir_Starmer run the country & I voted for Him. Why do we bother voting when it gets turned on its head? I had hope with SKS now I have no interest. Not in Manchester, buses or Burnham.

Brexit started the boats. Rejoining the EU will stop them. Leaving the ECHR isn't about stopping the boats, it's about giving up your rights so rich people can get richer and take back control of workers' rights. Stop the boats, rejoin the EU

He did. He ran away for 10 years and did not engage in the “difficult fight” to get @UKLabour elected. He ran away. And then took the one that did fight the difficult fight’s job. Get away with you .. @LBC @SkyNews
With Andy Burnham, Labour will never shy away from a difficult fight.

I still can't believe school never taught us anything about mortgages, credit scores, savings, taxes, or how politics actually impacts our lives. No proper lessons on budgeting, rent, interest, or how to avoid drowning in debt once you reach adulthood. But somehow we had time to learn cursive handwriting, complicated algebra we've never used since, the cells of a leaf, Venn diagrams, and how to set magnesium on fire with a Bunsen burner. Funny how school prepared us for exams, but barely prepared us for real life.

Crap debate on #bbcqt tonight on rejoining the EU. No panellist makes the key point that a steadily increasing majority of the public now want Britain to rejoin the EU

Who remembers the days when the EU was not even an issue, not even a <1% issue when it came to voter concerns. When Farage was unheard of. When racism was called out. When society was far kinder and tolerant. What the fuck has happened?

Once again Trump goes after Kaitlan Collins. She asks the tough questions and that’s exactly why he doesn’t want her there. I stand with Kaitlan and CNN 💯

If Labour want to win the next GE, they simply have to say ‘We will Rejoin the EU’. Easy.

New EU rules would damage UK, says PM, who seems to be expecting special treatment. Isn't he rather missing the point that EU rules are designed to protect current members, not former ones? bbc.com/news/articles/cv2dwy…

🚨 Britain may be heading for a Brexit election. Asked directly whether Labour could put rejoining the EU in its next manifesto, Andy Burnham chose not to rule it out. The Guardian, Times, Independent, Politico and even The Sun are now leading on it. This is no accidental briefing. The door is open. GAME ON. 🇬🇧🇪🇺

Just 4 months after the local elections, Reform UK (RefUK) have lost 158 of their local councillors: -55 resigned -42 went Independent -28 defected -24 were kicked out -5 lost their seats -2 disqualified -2 suspended. Appalling record - and a waste of taxpayers’ money!

If Labour announced the intention to Rejoin: 1) GBP would rise 2) Gilt yields would fall 3) Inflation expectations would fall, followed by inflation falling in 3-6 months 4) UK would be welcomed back onto world stage 5) G7 Stock markets would rise
