In 1994, Michael Jackson’s Heal the World Foundation partnered with several organisations to give 2,000 disadvantaged children tickets to see Janet Jackson, the Beach Boys and the L.A. Laker Jam. Later that year Heal L.A. funded a mentoring program in 6 Los Angeles middle schools, reaching over 1,000 students with the support of 300 volunteers. The program gave young people in LA access to guidance, academic support and positive role models. 🤍

In February 1994, Michael Jackson took part in The Jackson Family Honors, a charity gala held to honour Elizabeth Taylor and Berry Gordy. Around $500,000 was initially pledged to charities including organisations supporting earthquake relief in California, Friends of Conservation and the Library of Congress’s American Popular Music Program. During the event, Berry Gordy expressed his support for Michael, telling him “I believed in you when you were nine, I believe in you now, and I will never stop believing in you.” 🤍

In January 1994, Following the LA and San Fernando Valley earthquake, Michael Jackson’s Heal the World Foundation and Heal L.A. helped families affected. The foundation helped provide vaccines and toys to children while Heal L.A. donated over $85,000 to organisations supporting affected families. They also helped provide free laundry services through donations of washing machines, dryers and soap to 25 organisations. Together with the Salvation Army, they also gave more than 400 homeless children and parents a day out at Universal Studios. 🤍
