Verona through the founder @BurntBanksy, the ecosystem lead @ZBurntBarrel and the lead Ambassador @zabolotniyD dominated every scene..

So last week, @burnt_xion launched the much awaited mainnet upgrade.

XION MAINNET UPGRADE
I am so excited to see @burnt_xion shipping out its biggest mainnet upgrade.
It’s a game changer for builders.
Here is what XION upgraded:
• Verification is now built straight into the protocol. No more custom verifier contracts or extra hoops to jump through.
• X/Zk now natively verifies Groth16 proofs from both Circom and Gnark. That means most ZK projects already in production can plug right into XION without changing their stack.
Even better, Barrentenberg UltraHonk is now native too.
This is huge for Noir developers a growing community of new ZK devs. Write your circuits in Noir, prove with Barrentenberg, and verify directly on XION. No intermediate steps.
on the auth side, JWS verification now sits alongside JWT.
so apps using OAuth2 with JWS tokens don’t need to reshape their format anymore.
more real world logins can become provable on chain instantly.

I want to talk about the ~$35 million in $XION revenue because it doesn’t quite fit the usual pattern that people expect in cryptocurrency.
Most projects still rely on token-driven activity. The price moves, people follow it, and it all adds up.
This is different.
From what I understand, this revenue comes from actual usage related to enterprise workflows.
< companies pay for verification and infrastructure
< transactions occur without considering users’ opinions about the cryptocurrency
< revenue generated off-blockchain, related to real transactions
This already changes the picture a bit.
But there’s another piece I remember from one of the talks at the end of the year. Banksy mentioned that they plan to move some of this revenue to the blockchain over time, potentially tying it to token buybacks and burns.
If this does happen, it will create a direct link between usage and the token itself.
Right now, that link doesn’t fully exist.
And that’s the part that still seems uncertain.
In theory, it sounds good, but it all depends on execution and whether that revenue consistently flows through the system.
So for now, it’s more of a direction than a proven outcome.
Still, if even a portion of this is implemented, it will bring $XION closer to something that behaves like a real business with a token attached, rather than just a token looking for demand.
Exactly what we all need right now.
