ANSTO really is the centre of the Australian Nuclear universe. I have very fond memories of working on and around HiFAR. – at Sunshine Coast, Queensland
Operating from 1958 to 2007, the High Flux Australian Reactor (HIFAR) was built for materials research. Compared to a power reactor, a research reactor is simply for scientific research and the production of radioisotopes for medicine and industry.

The use of radiological uptake data from flora and fauna is highly documented as a complementary monitoring approach to Real-time radiation and environmental monitoring: biologically significant data can be obtained. I personally prefer to use goats, they provide better cuddles. – at Brisbane, Queensland
Rat snakes are abundant species in Japan that can travel short distances and accumulate high levels of radionuclides. By using GPS trackers and measuring the radiocesium on the snakes after, researchers can determine the radioactivity in the areas they go to.

By automating ventilation extraction through real time awareness of Radon and radiation levels through a campaign, running costs can be reduced whilst also reducing operation exposure risks. SensaWeb is the future, now, of radiation and facility management.
One of the leading causes of lung cancer, radon is a radioactive gas that comes from the normal decay of uranium found in rocks, soil and water. But no worries! Radon exposure can be minimised through proper reduction systems. These include suction, sealing and air filtration.☢️

If you're in Canberra this year please go and catch-up with Darren at the SensaWeb booth. I'd love to be there, however I'm helping solve international monitoring problems this week, while I continue to remotely manage and monitor our Australian partners with the SensaWeb system. – at Phoenix, AZ
Day 3 at the ARPS Conference here in Canberra. If you're attending, head on over to our booth, let's talk about innovative radiation protection technologies! ☢️ #SensaWeb #ARPSConference #RadiationAssurance #RadiationMonitor #RadiationProtection #Innovation #Technology #Safety

When I was looking after decommissioning and research programs, I could never find a unit that actually met monitoring requirements. Thankfully SensaWeb has delivered not just a monitor but an automated system the radiation/nuclear industry needs and deserves!! – at Brisbane, Queensland
#SensaWebFAQ: How long can the radiation sensors store data before they run out of space? Message us for more details 💬 #Radiation #RadiationMonitor

Best part of SensaWeb work? Providing assurance and safety support to regional health providers and their communities. As the field of medical imaging advances and expands, the risk of radiation exposure is something that we cannot simply understate.☢️ sensaweb.com.au/contact/

Everyday I practice and demonstrate the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle for radiation control and safety. When it comes to non-ionising radiation; I use WiFi and Bluetooth, but if I have a wired option I will always use wired when reasonable. – at Brisbane, Queensland

Huge congrats to @future_anything for the #lmba2021 micro business award!! Humbled for @sensa_web to be included as a finalist
This is an excellent discussion to have. While we do have the skillset here in Australia, we need to grow and develop this industry. SensaWeb's autonomous monitoring technology is ready to manage the safety and provide assurance to users and the community. theguardian.com/world/2021/o… – at Brisbane, Queensland

Radiation is all around us. On average, people are exposed to 1-13 millisievert (mSv) each year from natural sources. Low doses like this pose no health risks, as compared to those who have occupational exposure like pilots and miners. #SensaWeb #Radiation #RadiationMonitor
