A true operating system proves itself on bare metal - outside the simulation world. We have started porting our custom kernel to various bare-metal devices. After our success on Raspberry Pi, we’ve now successfully ported the kernel to the iMX 8M+ SoC by NXP Semiconductors.

In the screenshot, you can see our kernel logs in action: Setting up the iMX SoC's CCM, followed directly by the kernel environment initialization. We leverage UBoot to initiate the process, which then hands off to our custom bootloader (XNLDR) to load the kernel into memory.

Learn how to run XenevaOS in under three minutes! We decided to create a short tutorial video to help new enthusiasts run our OS on their machines through the QEMU emulator. It's also live on our YouTube channel, where we're also making an OS Dev tutorial series for XenevaOS!

Guess what’s special about this GUI screenshot? XenevaOS now compiles with GCC! We can finally build on Linux, not just Windows/MSVC. Parallel development on both compilers is now a reality. Our community is growing faster than ever, this is your sign to join us!

Getting into OSDev isn't the easiest thing, and we're trying to change that. We have now started a tutorial series on YouTube where we will be releasing regular videos to act as a resource point for new developers wanting to contribute to XenevaOS.

Yesterday, we found an interesting live stream series on YouTube called "building my own OS in C++" by @offlinemark Highly recommend his YT channel, he has been streaming his OSDev journey every Sunday for over 120 weeks now. Thank You Mark for your kind words about us :)

Can it run Doom? YES! Here's a short video of XenevaOS running Doom! But not just that - we're running it on bare metal on ARM architecture (Raspberry Pi 3B+). Let us know which game or software you'd like to see next (^_^)

I grew up with a different internet. With all the advancements happening in tech today, using the internet should've only felt better. Yes, it's stronger than ever. But something fundamental feels missing - it is as if the internet today is a jacked guy with no personality.

Has anyone ever considered writing an Indigenous OS from scratch? Especially with a Custom Kernel? We have, and it's Open Source too. Repository - github.com/manaskamal/Xeneva…

The best devs are found on GitHub, not LinkedIn. I tried a B2B AI tool to find "cracked" devs on GitHub. It cost $200/month and sourced data of the devs through data brokers. So, out of spite, I built a Free & Open Source alternative. Meet LibreHire - librehire.getxeneva.com

The best engineers/developers don’t make performative posts on LinkedIn, they quietly push code to their repositories. This is @ManasKamal4's code contribution to @xenevaOS's codebase. He's soon going to cross the 1-million Lines of Code benchmark. A Cracked Engineer indeed!

Are we building a presence? Google says we are. A Cool Interesting Fact : Our founding engineer - Aryan Dadwal, actually discovered us and reached out after ChatGPT recommended Xeneva while he was searching for deep-tech startups.
