Cross country camp has such a unique atmosphere, everyone there has the same goals and just wants to have fun and run and it’s awesome
Anyone else have those random weeks where you feel great and fast and then the next week you have side stitches 5/7 days and breathe like a dinosaur??

HISTORY!
@des_linden is the first elite American female winner of the Boston Marathon since 1985! 😱 #GoDesi #BostonMarathon
*mid 50s and sunny for weeks straight leading up to outdoor*
track athletes: Lookin like a great start to the season!
weather: nah
*30° and snowing the day before the first outdoor meet*
when track practices start and you suddenly have 2 hard workouts in one week after running easy all winter and it just hits you like a truck...🙃
Reminder that this applies if you havent run in one day or if you haven’t run in a year. Your legs still know what to do and so do you xitter.cf/alexipappas/status/970…
It’s 58° and sunny now, but we all know there will be 20mph winds and snow on the ground for the first track meet. It’s just how it works, right?
Being stuck in that plateau phase is tough but you just gotta keep your head up and remember the goal
anyone else feel like you should be allowed to half your mileage on days when there’s no treadmills available and a fresh 10” of snow on the ground..?
When you’re on the treadmill doing a tempo workout and watching a tv that isn’t exactly centered and when your head is turned you veer off to the edge of the treadmill and almost die #isthisrelatable?
