Some things that have helped me outperform in Q4 1. Go with the trend until it no longer works The only reason for shorting a strong up trend is to hedge when things look exhausted. You should be looking to buy dips, not short rips. You will get punished. Go with momentum until that momentum is lost. 2. Concentrate your bets I’ve found that focusing on just a few alts showing relative strength is much better than diversifying. It allows you to go big when everything lines up. Rather than placing small bets on 20 different altcoins, go big in the ones that have momentum behind them. It pays to be bold. 3. Get off the lower time frame when the higher time frame is in a strong trend Unless you’re an experienced trader, it’s much easier, more relaxing and you’ll likely do much better buying relatively large corrections than to try and catch every swing up and down. Zoom out, size up. 4. Give the trade some room to breathe Don’t be too quick to move SL especially to break even. I would have been stopped many times. Move the SL to a place where you’re wrong on the trade. Often best to enter within the range then move the SL only when price has exited the range. 5. Take profit as price moves in your favour Everyone wants to sell the top. We all want to squeeze as much out of the trade as we can. Taking profit at key levels rather than holding the full position for “the moon” has allowed me to do this. Less round tripping of trades, less stress and more cash available to put into something else if/when playing rotation game. 6. Cut losers quickly I can’t stress how important this is. Yes you should give the trade some breathing room but only if that trade is maintaining some sort of momentum/holding above a key area where you deemed important. If price begins to trade below that area or is showing a lack of momentum, just cut it. You can always get back in. I’ve taken many haircuts but never a full 1R loss. When focusing on offence and riding these trends, don’t forget your defence is just as important if not more important. Final thoughts.. We are told to HODL and for most people, that’ll likely pay off in the end but only if you realise those unrealised gains at some point. Many HODL’D during 2020/21 and gave most if not all gains back. Take what the market gives you. Don’t put your bias onto it. Don’t extend targets. I did this and it has never paid off. If the market is telling you to get out, get out and be happy you outperformed 99% of participants. Remember, you can always get back in Happy New Year. Wish you all the best for 2024 🥂

We need to realize that we are still very early when you consider the number of people in the world involved in crypto. That's why I believe that we should help each other and collaborate through knowledge sharing. Alone, you may go faster, but together, you can go further.

Not picking any sides but am I the only one who thinks that these 'fights' are completely a waste of time? Let the bears be bearish, and the bulls be bullish. There is no need to attack each other on who is right or wrong imo. We are all here to make money.

I feel completely disappointed with other big accounts around here, with whom I have interacted always in a good way. Despite the fact that they have shilled bad exchanges and crap projects, and have been wrong throughout the entire bear market, they feel entitled to mock others.

$BTC miner capitulation might play out differently this time. Less likely, but it could be bullish if someone(s) acquires US-based #Bitcoin mining companies and their crypto holdings at a significant discount this year. Thread 🧵
