NEW PAPER! 📢
The latest in our series of studies on the sensory embodiment of tools
A Somatosensory Computation That Unifies Limbs & Tools eneuro.org/content/10/11/ENE…
We find that localising touch on a tool repurposes *the same computation* used to localise touch on the body

❗️Preprint Alert❗️ 🤘🍾🎉
We show that both localization-based perceptual hand maps and tactile distance perception on the hand change following a recalibration protocol that is based on visuotactile ventriloquism.
biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
Results also tell something about visuotactile ventriloquism: it seems to be grounded in a bodily map that reacts plastically to multisensory stimulation.
