as a longtime fan of Conway's "Game of Life" algorithm i never once considered visualizing the time axis physically -- this is breathtaking and elegant to me

As far as we know, this is the first high-bandwidth neuromotor interface that utilizes biosignals with effective out-of-the-box generalization across individuals. This achievement, led by Patrick Kaifosh and @TRReardon, is the result of the scientific and engineering efforts of hundreds of people and has been documented in a scientific journal preprint (link below).

Who's heading to Cosyne? I'll be recording vignettes for the Neuromatch neuroAI course from field leaders and ECRs, asking: what is NeuroAI? DM me if you're interested in chatting on or off the record.
This is amazing! Magnetic diode for remote neural stimulation!

I really love this story because we solved a problem by making a new class of magnetic materials.
Let me tell you why we couldn't rely on naturally occurring magnetic materials for neuromodulation + why temporal interference for neuromodulatoin is suspect 🌶️ 🧵
