Education is in need of a disruption, but don’t take my word for it.

Even given that people love to criticize the education system... it's actually even worse than most people think it is. It's seriously wasteful and frequently harmful.

Learning something shouldn't be a guessing game. Use quick actionable tools to empower students and educators 💪🧠

Foster a course environment that encourages a growth mindset through periodic non-graded assessments. This strategy alleviates the negative feedback loop associated with poor performance and gives students a chance to learn from mistakes.

Failure should be reframed as a learning opportunity. When students are given room to fail, they’re inspired to make more genuine discoveries and ACTUALLY understand what they’re learning vs just memorization

The current education ecosystem has high enough stakes as it is. We shouldn’t teach students that failing one particular test will be the end all be all.

A neglected, yet highly effective strategy to supercharge learning -> teaching through play.

With the @asugsvsummit kicking off today, pay attention to education solutions designed around helping students build autonomy and self efficacy 💪

Heard a middle school teacher say that they try to make education "less fun" so that students are “ready” for high school and college… But is that the teacher's fault? Removing that massive stigma is necessary and one of the reasons I initially focused on changing higher-ed

Cram content and memorize vocab -> Take a test -> Now you get to memorize new words because you passed your last test (barely) -> Rise and repeat for 20 years

If you think students want education to be disrupted, you’d be shocked to hear how desperate teachers are to make a difference 👀

Rather than solely building curriculum for how a ‘normal student’ learns, we should study the highest performers and build towards what is proven to work best. Only teaching towards what’s “average” is just so limiting.
2
If our habits and actions are changing, why shouldn't the way that we learn adapt as well?

"What works best" for learning has often been a topic of debate among scholars, instructors, and learners. It won't be for long @ElevateUai Historically, it's been impossible to effectively measure the learning process A->Z (no consolidation + fragmented market). We change that.

Education is a snowball effect 💪 The more people that have access to an inspiring AND high-quality education, the more innovation we'll see in our world 🚀

Tech could be way more powerful in higher-ed When companies apply AI to the learning process, they miss out on all the critical insights and key possibilities, because their AI (and the data used to build their models) only exists in THEIR BUBBLE of learning material / content
Lack of consolidation in education isn't just a pain-point for learners and teachers.. it directly limits what technology can accomplish in the space.

Over 15 MILLION students have used OpenStax, one of ElevateU’s valued partners 👀 They recently hosted a webinar on one of our Learning Experiences, and here's a clip of them discussing our relationship. We can't wait to help the next 15M students - more than ever imagined 💪

One of the great things about the internet is open access to information ➡️ students have a WEALTH of choices when it comes to supplementing a standardized education with online materials (e.g. Crash Course, Khan Academy, Youtube) Here’s why this is not without its flaws👇
