You can now use Kap for existing recordings/videos. Kap supports resizing, trimming, conversion, sharing, & more
Either drag and drop a video onto the Kap menu bar icon, choose "Open Video" in the Kap menu, or right-click a video in Finder and choose Kap in the "Open With" menu.

I learned about getkap.co/ a few weeks ago via @chriscoyier and it is the best tool I've used for quick, easy screen recordings. I use it several times a day to demo features, show bugs, etc.
