Matt was so polished in front of the podium, but man he was fiery on the sideline. It didn’t matter if he was talking to a rookie or Tony G. He was never shy to correct or elevate players when he saw an opportunity. His leadership was incredible.

Yesterday was rough, but that’s one of those games you scrap and move on from. We are about to find out what this team is all about over in Spain. This will be a crossroads game- you either let this one linger and come out flat, or you use it as motivation and play with pride.

Very real possibility that we are going to be 3-9 at the end of this stretch. We are going on a decade long playoff drought. I don’t see an end in sight either.

Heavy rain down in Tampa today. This will force both teams to run the ball more than normal. Tampa is strong against the run and can make things difficult for an Atlanta run game that has regressed over the last 3 weeks.

If you’re game planning this week in Tampa for the Atlanta offense, what’s your focus? Taking away Bijan’s run lanes, or keying on the pass game? Teams have limited our run game the last few weeks, but Penix has shown he can make you pay if you aren’t dropping in coverage.

I wouldn’t be upset if the Falcons inquired about Josh Downs before the deadline.

Our last 3 opponents have done a good job of keying on Bijan and committing to stopping the run. Conversely, Penix has done a great job of making plays in the passing game to counter their attack. Defenses are in a tough spot right now game planning for this offense.

The most satisfying element of today’s win was the fact that we ran the ball 3 times and kicked the field goal to make it a 2 possession game. Showing Kyle what you’re supposed to do in a situation like that.

First career touchdown for Nick Muse. Great win today. Much needed.

Once again this stadium is overrun with 49ers fans. So damn embarrassing.

Oh thank God. This will help us protect Penix better and not allow opposing receivers to get open consistently.
