I have to say that every one of the human support representatives that I spoke to about my weird inability to log into the Playstation network today was smart, on the ball, and almost ridiculously sympathetic about my having a problem with my console.

On the downside, the process of getting to each of those human representatives was akin to a particularly tedious RPG fetch quest. And the chat bot that I had to go through before I could reach a human at Playstation Direct was downright obstructive.

Well, when I chose my PlayStation Network online ID, I didn't realize that it's also used for customer support purposes, so I am a fully grown woman explaining to a Playstation support rep that I am 'metal-wombat'.

Finnish speakers - is “grooves like a moose” idiomatic? And if so, what does it mean?

When I picture a moose grooving, it brings to mind the music of Meshuggah. Which is probably not the intent, but also, Finland, so I can’t be sure.

I have not one iota of visual arts talent, but I would love to see this project become a reality, so boosting to all my artist friends.

With @HugoAwards noms open, this is a reminder that @FiresideFiction is eligible for Best Semiprozine for the work we published in our final year. It would mean so much to get a nod for everything the magazine did.

Some days you just need avocado toast. Toasted whole wheat seeded bread, ricotta mixed with Brooklyn Delhi’s tomato achaar sauce, avocado, and hard boiled eggs.

I was just winding down for bed, listening to a mystery novel, when suddenly I heard shrieking outside. I peeked out my front door just to see what the hell was going on.

Turns out to be a group of kids half a block away, chasing each other around and playing tag. Those kids have got some lungs on them! We’ve beefed up the soundproofing on this house, and I could still hear them over the sound of my audiobook.

Now I just need to convince my brain that now that I’ve determined that one of my neighbors is not in dire peril and I don’t need to call 911, that we can go to sleep now. This is why I should not listen to murder mysteries before bed.

The end result: channa masala and raita. Served on…quinoa, because I belatedly realized that I only have sushi rice and short grained brown rice, and neither of those really seemed to fit.
