In 2025, the FBI was examining the actions of Sen Lindsey Graham, Rep. Jim Clyburn, and Rep. Joe Wilson as part of a sweeping bribery probe. Then Trump’s campaign of retribution demolished public corruption investigations. propublica.org/article/navat…

Trump’s Kansas rally: thousands of attendees stood for hours, snaking through the parking lot. When they finally got inside around dinner time, they lined up for concessions—-until they were suddenly shut down by rally staff, as they wanted people to fill up the seats as the speakers started.
“They want everybody to sit down, that’s the problem,” the concession stand workers told yelling rallygoers. “When the White House tells you to do something, you gotta listen,” one staffer said.
After complaints, the concessions were reopened for “drinks only.”

Dropkick Murphys vocalist Ken Casey says of Troy Jackson: “I can't understand a word the fucking guy says.”
“But then again, I can't understand half those rednecks down south, but they say, you know — at least this guy is the real deal, walking his talk, and we need more union members in Congress, that's for damn sure.”
One audience member shouts: “He’s a logger!”
Casey: “Fuck yeah. He’s a wicked logger.”
The Massachusetts-based Dropkick Murphys appear onstage for a Troy Jackson event in Biddeford, Maine, introducing themselves as “your friendly neighbors from the south.”
“What's not to love about Maine? My God, I'm going to tell you something. Don't tell the other states, but you're the only other state I even like in New England.”
NEW: Susan Collins is used to picking off Democratic-leaning voters, but some of those former supporters say they're moving on.
Not that they're enchanted with Troy Jackson. His own voters described him to MS NOW as “lukewarm,” “not particularly” strong and “missing what it takes.”
But frustration with Trump -- and, often, with Collins herself -- is pushing them toward Jackson anyway.

Asked by @PHirschkorn for an example of a time she voted against her party and it changed the outcome, Susan Collins points to how she organized the opposition to Pete Hegseth. Pressed, she concedes it didn't change outcome (one R changed vote), but she notes it almost did.

Also from Jackson at this town hall: Elizabeth Warren to visit Maine next weekend.
Comes after Bernie Sanders holds three rallies with Jackson today and tomorrow.
In a virtual town hall today, Troy Jackson reflected briefly on the beginning of his U.S. Senate campaign:
"Even after 20 years in the legislature, my name ID was not as high as I would have thought it would have been. And the early part of the campaign, which was just not too long ago, was about making sure we introduced me to voters."
Hence the August ad featuring his mother, he said. #MESEN

To which Jackson said, "No, you owe me an apology."
U.S. Sen. candidate @TroyJackson207 (D-ME) accuses Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) and her husband of profiting off the war in Iran and Sen. Collins calls the accusation "outrageous" and says "you owe me an apology."
Susan Collins said in tonight's #MESEN debate that she opposes term limits for members of Congress.
30 years ago, when she first ran, she said she favored them.
She also said then that she would serve only two terms.
#MESEN candidates on if they use AI in their daily lives:
Collins: "Sometimes when I'm writing an email, AI will suggest a different spelling or different word. If that's what you're talking about, I guess the answer would be yes. In more sophisticated ways, no."
Jackson: "Not personally, no."
