And with that, the corporation threw away the biggest thing this software had going for it in a grab for more money. My heart goes out to all the fellow artists who now have to scramble to find a more affordable program.

As #PitchWars is ending, I just wanted to do a master-list of all the mentorship programs that are out there. If you know of another one, please feel free to tell me and I'll add it onto the thread.

coming to terms with the fact I am a really slow drafter - and while it's demotivating to see many other writers smashing out a whole first draft in a month or two that just doesn't work for me and I need to accept that my process is different

✨READER REPORT ADVICE!✨ Here is my advice on how to write reader reports, for prospective interns/entry publishing employees. The obvious caveat is that everyone has different standards. This is what I personally think is important vs. not important in a reader report. 🧵1/

Would anyone looking to break into publishing like a thread about what to focus on in a reader report and what to avoid? I'm thinking about this a lot as I'm looking to hire a new intern.

We are devastated to learn that KL Burd has unexpectedly passed away. Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family. We were honored he chose to donate his time and immense talent to mentor this year. It was just one of the many ways he gave back to the writing community.

Anyone else just the WORST when it comes to describing your book to others? I mean, I literally crafted an entire world from scratch, but as soon as anyone asks me what my story is about, I’m like a high schooler who’s just winging their report. #amquerying
