This is a Dracunclus Vulgaris, otherwise known as a Stink Lily. Pollinated by flies, when it flowers, it gives off a stench of...wait for it...rotting carcass to attract them. Yup you that heard right, folks. Of course it was planted right next to the house! 🤢
Anyone care to join me on an armchair trip around Europe? We'll take in France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Switz and Belgium. Come along for the ride if you fancy some virtual travel and a good giggle...first up, back to where it all began, The Queen Mary! 🚢tailsofwine.com/blog/thequee…
