The WordPress MCP Adapter is now released: wordpress.org/plugins/mcp-ad… 🎉
This is the canonical MCP plugin for WordPress, carefully architected for backwards-compatibility with MCP versions. If you want MCP in your site or plugins, I highly recommend using this.

All WordPress users need to update their WordPress installations immediately 💯
There is a 9.2 CVE that discloses a remote code execution vulnerability that affects versions all the way back to 2016 😬

Whatever you think of the @automattic and @photomatt current situation. Try to remember that Matt and @mikelittlezed1 built something we all use for free, to make money. I know it's hard for some, but also try and remember Matt is a mere human and is probably feeling pretty down - some of the things being said in slack groups and elsewhere are downright cruel. Be kinder.

Sage décision selon moi !
🚨 Wow. 🚨
“Today, Matt made the decision to remove real-time collaboration from WordPress 7.0 and shared that he is not confident the current approach is robust enough to include in Core at this time, citing concerns around surface area, race conditions, server load, memory efficiency, and recurring bugs found through fuzz testing.”

Excellente nouvelle !
This was just merged into Gutenberg trunk, and it’s a much bigger deal than it looks 👇
WordPress is getting a native UI to create custom post types.
No code. No plugins.
Just:
Settings → Post Types → Add
That might sound small… it’s not.
Custom post types go from “developer feature” → “everyday user feature”
Which means:
• Better structured content from day one
• Easier onboarding
• Less plugin dependency
• A cleaner foundation for AI to understand your site
And this is just the start.
Post types → taxonomies → …you can probably guess what comes next
You can see where this is heading…
WordPress is becoming a powerful content modelling system 👀

WordPress 7.0 arrives soon, building the foundation for AI-powered sites.
Instead of every plugin needing its own integration, @WordPress 7.0 offers a shared infrastructure through the new WordPress AI Client and much more.
Here’s a glimpse at what’s in store.🧵

WordPress is SLOW (usually) but... it doesn't have to be.
After working with WordPress for 15+ years as the plugin developer - I've picked a thing or two (or 30) about WordPress performance.
And it's all beyond the obvious:
"Install caching plugin"
and
"Buy a $300/mo hosting" ( this is bullshit btw. if you're paying more than $20-50/mo you're being ripped hard)
So I wrote a piece about it. It's very low-level and technical mind you, but maybe you'll find something useful there.

Hi everyone! 📷
We've been alerted that some malicious individuals are attempting to impersonate the MailerPress team. They claim there is an urgent issue in order to pressure recipients into responding quickly.
