Liberals are all "Vax and relax! " and they were last vaccinated for Covid in 2022 and forget to get the Flu shot until Flu season has already peaked.

This past Valentine’s Day, 71-year-old Brad Reese, proud grandson of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups inventor H. B. Reese, posted a scathing open letter to the manager of corporate brand and editorial at Hershey, accusing the company of unforgivably altering many Reese’s products by replacing real chocolate with compound chocolate — basically using vegetable oils instead of cocoa butter to lower costs and replacing real peanut butter with “peanut-butter-style crèmes.”
“And Reese wasn’t alone in feeling like everything was getting worse,” writes Rachel Handler. “Everyone in my life I spoke to agreed that something was amiss, that Reese’s — and commercial chocolate in general — didn’t taste the way it used to.”
Handler would spend the next several months tumbling down a chocolate vortex, encountering dozens of eccentric characters, all disagreeing about the fundamental question of what chocolate even is and who it should be for.
“I learned that — not to sound like a LinkedIn guy — what’s going on with chocolate is a parable for the modern world. That at this particularly bleak end stage of capitalism, everything we once treasured has or will lose its essential essence and MrBeast will always be involved somehow.”
For our cover story, Handler takes a deep dive into the molten belly of the chocolate world. Read it in full: nymag.visitlink.me/vKKky_

I'm sorry but if you refer to trans men as "pooners" "afabs" "moids" etc then i'll instantly block you
Noticing that people are more mad about the mother of the 16 year old school shooter than the actual shooter himself. Like when it’s a man it’s still the woman’s fault I guess
Sometimes im like twitter is uniquely insane but tumblr has “woke” people calling each other the most vilest things imaginable over mild discourse its like … what are we doin

more than 1 in 4 US adults is disabled. add to that everyone whose life is shaped by illness, care & the capitalist healthcare system. that's an enormous potential base for working-class politics, ample ground to build a powerful left. we should probably do something with that

ALT A CDC map showing age-adjusted disability prevalence among adults 18 and older across U.S. states and territories in 2022. The national estimate is 28.7%. Colors range from pale green for lower prevalence to dark blue for higher prevalence, spanning 21.1%–41.5%. Many Southern and Appalachian states, along with Nevada and Puerto Rico, fall in the highest category, 31.3%–41.5%. The data come from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System.
