Once upon a time I was translating and editing folk tales by Russian Arts and Crafts artist Elena Polenova; it was lovely to see the two books, published by Fontanka get a mention. And how exciting to hear Sian Valvis is working on a second book to follow her brilliant “Kolobok”!
It's #WorldKidLit Wednesday! This week on World Kid Lit blog, translator Siân Valvis talks to Mark Sutcliffe from Fontanka, an indie press that focuses on Russian, Central European and East European culture

Dug this out of my TBR pile for a long train journey. A unique graphic memoir that switches between three separate stories and portrays the realities of being a minority in America. Worthy winner of the #MichaelLPrintzAward #LetsTalkGraphicNovels
