“Why are young people economic leftists?”
I can’t answer this question for the francophone world, but in the United States my answer/s would be:
1) young people are broadly extremely misinformed about the structure of Western economic systems. Many of them are convinced that our economies are far more laissez-faire and deregulated than they actually are.
2) young people are extremely misinformed about the sheer quantity of government spending, and especially how much the government spends relative to the income/wealth of the richest people (e.g. all the assets of every billionaire in America would fund single payer healthcare for a year and a half)
3) young people broadly feel like the ability to accumulate wealth is not a benefit to them and like they are locked out of systems of asset accumulation.
4) in youth circles, economic griping is paradoxically often “high status.” developing radical political approaches wrt cost of living is generally viewed positively.

the naturally follow-up is “why do they think that’s the solution?”
Cancel. This is ridiculous.
Saints are scheduled to leave tonight for Paris, where they play the Steelers next Sunday at Stade de France. Despite intense riots and social unrest there, the NFL says the game is on.
“Preparations continue as scheduled for NFL events and the game at Stade de France next Sunday,” the NFL said. “We continue to work closely with local authorities and partners on all operational and security matters. We are also providing the two clubs with regular updates. There’s been no disruption or impact at league sites.”

Maybe the NFL should paint “end the riots” in the endzone. Maybe that will help

This seems incredibly stupid

Europe is the preview. Who is watching America?
While American leaders love lecturing Europe about its self-destruction, the same process is already underway here.
France in 1975: 8 mosques
France in 2025: 2,600 mosques
See the map; it looks like a deadly virus spreading!
Jean Messiha, an Egyptian-born French economist, put it bluntly: denying the Great Replacement and the Islamization of France is high treason.
Gulf states and Turkey have helped finance the infrastructure. Parallel societies, Sharia pressures, and Islamic neighborhoods where police lose control followed.
According to a report by France’s Directorate-General for Internal Security (DGSI)... as many as 150 urban districts are controlled by Islam. In France, the police have virtually no access to these districts, and they must be protected by the French Army if they wish to enter 'no-go' zones.
That is the European template. American politicians point at it constantly - then ignore the identical pattern on our soil. WHY!?
Mosques and Islamic centers have multiplied across the United States for decades. Texas, Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, and California have seen steady and massive expansion. Red states across America are being targeted while our leaders are terrified of even mentioning the word Islam.
Mosques and our political leaders are receiving foreign funding from the same Islamic regimes and their terror networks active in Europe. All across America, they are building beachheads.
Growing Islamic enclaves are forming around them, complete with political organizing, lobbying, and demographic change that outpaces native birth rates. Local officials treat resistance as bigotry while the numbers keep rising.
Our leaders warn about Europe’s no-go zones and foreign-funded Islamization. They stay quiet when the same funding networks, the same rapid growth, and the same refusal to assimilate appear in American cities and suburbs.
Europe is the preview. America is already running the same experiment. Pretending otherwise is how you get the European Islamic deadly outcome.
We are going to lose America....Ignore this threat, and we are complicit in our own destruction.

Look, I know Chalktober was built on -1000 or greater plays.
I know that because I invented Chalktober.
But sometimes you need to chance going too far, or else you’ll never find out how far you can truly go.
Tonight, on this historic Chalktober 16th, in which I try to go more than halfway to the finish line, I am going big (and I might go home because of it — but at least I can walk tall as a man that chased my dreams)
Tonight, I am bypassing the -1000 odds requirement.
Washington / Purdue Under 67.5 is the play (-970 😱)

It's not for raising the stock price it's the other way around. It's for showing that Tesla needs SpaceX. He will give no choice to the investors and they'll start bailing out, then SpaceX will buy all stock, cheap. He is bailing out his failures

35 years ago today, Clarence Thomas was confirmed to the U.S. Supreme Court by the Senate.
Growing up in segregated Georgia, he rose to become one of the greatest Supreme Court justices in American history.
The Court and our country are better off today because of him.

I laugh when I think about how horrified leftists are with current crop of Republicans.
You people have no idea what’s coming. The ones we have now are puppy dogs compared to the purposeful, angry men who are about to get involved in politics in a few years.
