In three hundred years no one will remember anything that’s been posted on social media, but they will continue to read, and enjoy, Homer and Dickens and Jane Austen and George Eliot and the Tale of Genji.

He knows his time is running out.
So he records one last lecture — everything he knows, distilled into a single hour.
He died 5 months later.

We call ourselves "intelligent," yet the humblest fungus can decompose waste and build soil, a tree can harness solar energy, and a wetland can purify water—all without toxic byproducts. True intelligence is learning from these systems, not bulldozing them.
When is defunding public education ever ok? Just ask the small towns whose school budgets will be decimated by this taxpayer theft for private religious schools. Parents are angry. The large majority of calls to Gov Little asked him to veto this bill. Did he? Nope.

I haven't seen a single post on my timeline about the #WalkForPeace being done by 20 Bhuddist Monks and their companion pup Aloka from Texas to Washington.
Every video I watch brings me close to tears because they fully understand what's happening politically and what's at stake.
“Coming of age” is a peculiar phrase. It feels antiquated…aren’t we growing up differently now? Haven’t we aged out of these timeworn constructs?
