Most common Q I see is “wtf is a wordle?” It’s a website with a daily puzzle where you have six tries to guess a 5-letter word. Pick any word and the block will turn green if a letter is in the right spot, or yellow if a letter is in the word but not that spot. Keep going!

Wordle Tip After 3 tries, you have “_ound” The word can be round or sound or mound or bound or found or wound or hound or pound, etc. In order to avoid using up six tries, form a word with the prospective first letters i.e. swarm. The result will eliminate multiple letters.

If you’ve almost solved the word but there’s lots of options for that final letter, try choosing a random word with as many of those potential letters in to try and weed out the correct one!

NYT: No, we did not make Wordle harder. We promise. Also NYT: Today’s Wordle is KHYBX — which everyone knows is a popular 11th century Latin delicacy derived from quicksand extract. Duh.

If tomorrow’s wordle isn’t “happy” and then “birthday” pops up when I solve it then I’m going to be mighty disappointed. (Aus/NZ/Europe wordlers, don’t ruin my dream 😊)
