Quarterback Aaron Rodgers absolutely obliterates Dr. Anthony Fauci on @PatMcAfeeShow on ESPN. McAfee: “How do you view this year versus maybe the years of the past?” Rodgers: “I'm gonna plead the fifth… like that absolute coward, Tony Fauci…” “What are you gonna say about me now?… No, seriously, what are they gonna say about me now?” 🔥🔥

The year is 1950. Your doctor lights a cigarette and tells you smoking is fine. He read it in a study. He is telling the truth about having read it. He does not know, or is not saying, that the study was funded by the tobacco industry. The year is 1958. Your doctor tells you to eat less fat. The evidence is contested. The contestation is not in the public messaging. The food industry has been helpful in clarifying which findings deserve attention. Some researchers who published contradictory data have been quietly defunded. Ancel Keys is on the cover of Time magazine. The year is 1962. Your doctor prescribes thalidomide to your pregnant wife for morning sickness. It has been approved. The FDA gave it the green light in Europe. Twelve thousand children will be born with severe limb malformations before anyone in an official capacity acknowledges the problem. The families are told the drug was safe. The drug was approved. Both of these things remain true. The year is 1972. Your doctor prescribes Valium. Britain is in the grip of a benzodiazepine wave that will last two decades. The dependency risk is known internally. It is not shared. Your doctor is not lying to you. He was not told either. The year is 1999. Your doctor prescribes Vioxx for your arthritis. It is newer than ibuprofen, well-tolerated, and Merck has a study showing it works. Merck also has internal data suggesting it roughly doubles the risk of heart attack. This data will not reach your doctor for four more years. Fifty thousand people are estimated to have died in the interim. Merck eventually settles for 4.85 billion dollars. No criminal charges are brought. The year is 2002. Your doctor prescribes OxyContin. Purdue Pharma trained its sales representatives to tell doctors the addiction risk was less than one percent. That figure came from a letter, not a study. The letter was about patients with terminal cancer on short-term doses in hospital settings. Your doctor is a GP with a patient who has a bad back. Nobody draws a distinction. Nobody is required to. The year is 2008. Your doctor checks your cholesterol. Your LDL is elevated. You are prescribed a statin. Nobody mentions that the number needed to treat for primary prevention is approximately 250. Nobody mentions that the muscle deterioration you'll notice over the next two years is listed as a rare side effect rather than a documented pattern affecting a meaningful percentage of patients. The trial that informed the prescription was funded by the manufacturer. Now it is today. Your doctor has new guidelines. New studies. New consensus. He is confident. He has always been confident. The confidence has never been the problem. The confidence is, in fact, precisely the problem.

A former SFN author doing his thing! This is fantastic and fascinating. Phenomenally interesting, not the least of which would be the potential to enter into discovery regarding a tortious interference claim against the third parties who clearly were interfering with NC State’s contract.
1/ 🧵Yesterday, Will Wade bolted from NC State to LSU—a move widely reported to have been in the works for weeks. If it hasn’t already bargained away its rights, NC State has real legal arguments to see Wade again—not on the basketball court, but in a courtroom. Here’s how:

How come you don’t see more South Carolina Republicans speaking out about this BLATANT CORRUPTION by Shane Massey @shanemassey, the South Carolina REPUBLICAN Senate Majority Leader? Republicans should be calling this sham reform bill out for what it is: CORPORATE WELFARE! Totally corrupt for the lawyer for @Allstate Insurance in South Carolina to be fast tracking an anti-consumer bill in the GOP Controlled Senate in South Carolina. I hope to see @SenatorTimScott @LindseyGrahamSC and @RepNancyMace speak out about this. GOP corruption will cost the party votes in 2026. We should be fighting to protect consumers. Not the big insurance corporations and their lobbyists. Shane Massey is an anti-Trump, pro-Nikki Haley grifter and he’s creating bills that benefit his donors. Where is the GOP? Call your State Senators in South Carolina and tell them to oppose SB 244!

🚨ATTENTION SOUTH CAROLINA🚨 CALL TO ACTION ANTI-TRUMP, PRO-NIKKI HALEY GOP SC SENATE MAJORITY LEADER SHANE MASSEY @shanemassey IS TRYING TO SCREW YOU OVER WITH “TORT REFORM” AS HE POCKETS MONEY FROM INSURANCE COMPANIES State Senator Shane Massey is a lawyer for @Allstate insurance company and now he’s trying to pass a bill in the South Carolina Senate to benefit his biggest corporate client, ALLSTATE. Allstate donated to his campaigns & now he’s trying to line his pockets by passing bills that benefit his donors. This is the type of corruption President Trump talks about when he says DRAIN THE SWAMP! There is an anti-consumer, pro-insurance company bill called SB 244 that is making its way through the South Carolina legislature this week. RINOS are attempting to fast track it. This bill, which has been labeled as “tort reform”, was introduced by an anti-Trump, pro-Nikki Haley RINO named Shane Massey, who endorsed Nikki Haley for President over President Trump. Here’s what you need to know about the SB 244 and why you need to call your state Senators today and tell them to vote AGAINST SB 244. 1. South Carolina’s SB 244 is marketed as “tort reform,” but it’s a gift to insurance companies that screws over consumers. It makes it harder for injured people to get fair compensation while letting big businesses off the hook. Senators should vote NO to protect their constituents. 2. Under SB 244, defendants can shift blame to non-parties by putting them on the verdict form—even if they aren’t in the courtroom to defend themselves. This gives insurance companies a loophole to dodge payouts by pointing fingers at those who can’t be held accountable. SB 244 strips victims of their ability to get justice while protecting the insurance companies.  3. Current South Carolina law ensures victims can recover damages from any responsible party found to be guilty if others can’t pay. However, SB 244 scraps that, leaving consumers high and dry if one defendant is broke.  That will serve to shield reckless corporations over South Carolina citizens. 4. There are many examples of how this Tort Reform can deprive South Carolina citizens of justice. For example, often times, bars overserve drunks who crash and kill innocent people. SB 244 makes it near impossible for victims to hold those bars accountable. In the end, Insurance companies win, and families lose. South Carolina deserves better than a bill that protects bad actors. 5. Insurance profits hit $144 BILLION last year—up 268% since 2022—yet premiums keep rising. SB 244 doesn’t lower rates (even insurance reps admit it). It just pads their bottom line while they deny claims. This is harmful to Consumers who will be paying for coverage they never receive. 6. SB 244 is a corporate handout for greedy insurance companies. 7. Small businesses—like restaurants—face crushing insurance costs. SB 244 won’t fix that; it’ll raise their liability and premiums by forcing more coverage. This so called “Tort Reform” is only a double whammy for insurance companies and a double loss for consumers who will be paying higher premiums with less protection. We call this CORPORATE WELFARE. 8. SB 244 gives insurers up to 10 months to delay or deny claims, even when they owe. Imagine losing your home or job after an accident, and waiting for help that never comes. SB 244 picks profits over people.  9. South Carolina politicians could hold insurance companies accountable—but instead, SB 244 gives them a free pass to deny claims and avoid paying what they owe. Just like in Florida, insurers will game the system, hide profits, and leave hardworking South Carolinians holding the bag. This bill isn’t about fairness—it’s about protecting corporate interests at the expense of the people. 10. South Carolinians deserve a legal system that works for them—not one that allows billion-dollar companies to duck responsibility. SB 244 tips the scales against victims and small businesses. VOTE NO ON SB244!
