[WMMAP Novel Spoilers] • • • "What did you say?" Claude asked, sounding utterly incredulous. Why is he surprised that i won't invite him to my birthday celebration? "You've never once come to see me on my birthday anyway," I replied nonchalantly. "I assumed you'd just be sequestering yourself in Garnet Palace for some days as usual. No?" Yes, i know that Claude never visits me on my birthdays because of Diana, but that never lessened my heartbreak & disappointment. I kept grumbling internally while Claude set his teacup on the table. "Is that so?" His face seemed to say, "I don't know a thing about that." Perhaps it's because you tossed all your memories out the window! "...I will come." He then said eventually. "I won't be late for your birthday this time." "Really...?" "Yes." "You're not lying?" "That's true." I felt a bit awkward. "Ah... It's alright. You don't have to, you know. What i said just now, that was just..." "No, it's not alright with me." Claude stated firmly. "I will be there for your birthday, and i won't be late." Ah, seriously. I don't know why i feel this way, but i can't deny that i feel happy hearing him say these words. Perhaps he saw right through my childish tantrum, but still... "Hehe." [From The Novel, Chapter 116]
