According to a statement from Atiku, INEC is contracting private companies to print (sensitive) electoral materials in the 2027 elections. The Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc (NSPMC), the legal body responsible for printing electoral materials, will print materials for only 15 to 17 states. The rest of the states will be outsourced to private companies. Atiku alleged that one of the companies to get the contract could be HiTech, the company belonging to Gilbert Chagoury, President Tinubu’s friend. Are Nigerians really paying attention to these worrisome developments?✍️

INEC failed to publish voters register online as required by the electoral act. The 90 days provision has elapsed. INEC violated electoral law before the first ballot is casted. Is it this same INEC that we expect to conduct free and fair election? Nigerians, all eyes on INEC.

ENDSARS LEKKI TOLL GATE: NEVER FORGET OCTOBER 20, 2020 Today, October 20, 2026, marks the sixth anniversary of the Lekki Toll Gate shootings, a painful reminder of the price Nigerian youths paid in their demand for a better country. On that fateful night, peaceful #EndSARS protesters were met with gunfire. Lives were lost, many were injured, and the nation was left with questions about justice, accountability, and the sanctity of human life. We must never forget. We must never normalise injustice. As we remember the victims, I reaffirm my belief that a New Nigeria is possible—a country where citizens are protected, not brutalised; where young people are heard, not silenced; and where government power is exercised with responsibility and respect for human rights. Nigeria must become a nation where no citizen is punished for demanding good governance and a better future. May the souls of the departed continue to rest in peace. May their sacrifice strengthen our resolve to build a Nigeria where this tragedy will never be repeated. A New Nigeria is POssible. A Nigeria where every life matters. -PO

Future generations must never forget October 20, 2020, when brave Nigerians proudly waved the Nigerian flag while protesting injustice and corruption, paying for their courage with their lives. Many who once screamed against this injustice have now joined the very APC government that killed its own youth. They traded principle for access , but history will never forget, and neither will we. #EndSARS
