Don Cherry was voted by his countrymen as the seventh-greatest Canadian of all time in 2004.
I donโt care what bleeding heart liberals say about Cherryโs comments and any self-respecting Conservative shouldnโt either. To see some Quebec Conservative MPs whine about Cherryโs comments is pathetic and disrespectful to his legacy.
If anyone is deserving of The Order and if The Order means anything anymore, Cherry should be nominated.
He is the most patriotic Canadian I have ever seen in Canadian media. Nobody with the platform he commanded in Canadian media and popular culture has done more to advocate for Canadaโs military and to honour our fallen heroes.
