What would if sound like if a movie soundtrack was stopped 24 times per second, just like the picture is? youtube.com/watch?v=6yyuMOBc…
What would it look like if the shutter was removed from a movie camera? Cool, I suppose. Some sort of vertical blur?
Also, what if the shutter was made of transparent, colored plastic? The blur would be colored but the picture would be in full color.
I’m giving out all my art ideas
Finally, found a demonstration, though only in the projector youtube.com/watch?v=gznn9k4X…
I recently bought a new vacuum cleaner. It's not the robotic kind, however it does support AES encryption. Why, you may ask? Because you can control its motor with a small 2.4 GHz radio controller on the handle :)
New blog post: Spiral spectrograms and intonation illustrations windytan.com/2021/11/spiral-…
Voice harmonics and chords plotted on a spiral-shaped spectrogram (1 turn = 1 octave) youtube.com/watch?v=VeC8TIu8…
Idea: Spectrogram that ignores any transposition in 12-TET :) Brightness is summed across the musical scale (log Y scale that wraps around every 12th root of 2). We can see how intonation wanders, esp. interesting with fretless strings/a cappella.
I got this idea after getting obsessed with the perfect intonation and seemingly effortless performance by this soloist youtube.com/watch?v=fvPynMI6…
