Just spent another day mastering the art of communicating with my computer, only to realize it understands me better than most humans do. Oh, the glamorous life of a developer.

Had my 4th demo of the Vision Pro this AM and Apple finally let us take a photo with it on. My first three demos (1 in June, 1 in November, 1 in December) were all with the Solo Knit Band and I really felt the weight of the face computer on my face. Today I tried the Dual Loop Band. Not as elegant looking but definitely more comfortable.

Here’s a photo of Mars I captured last week. You can see both Olympus Mons and Valles Marineris, the solar system’s largest mountain and largest canyon! This was captured with a 14” telescope from the sidewalk in front of my house.

Terribly sad news about the recent passing of Archer Maclean. He made some truly sensational games, from IK+ to Archer Maclean's Pool, and used to write wonderful columns for the magazine. Our thoughts go out to all his friends and family.

Microsoft’s Windows XP Christmas Theme Pack 2004 was a software pack offered as a free download to users running a genuine copy of Windows XP (2001). It added a new desktop theme (called ChristmasTheme) with a Christmas-themed wallpaper, screensaver, sound scheme & cursors. 🎄🎅🏻

Even at almost 20 years old, Longhorn is still remembered fondly by many as a beautiful missed opportunity. It eventually morphed into the 2007 released Windows Vista.

The flight that changed everything. On this day in 1903, the Wright Flyer became the first powered, heavier-than-air machine to achieve controlled, sustained flight with a pilot.
