Just some thoughts on You Maniac. What stood out to me is that from the very start we got passionate kisses, but never full NC scenes. To me, those moments felt driven by pure desire rather than any real emotional connection.I think the director deliberately chose not to put too much weight on the physical side, even though those scenes were present and mattered to the story. Instead, the focus stayed on Dean and Moth’s conflicting feelings, how those feelings evolved, and how both of them deal with their insecurities.That’s why episodes 7 and 8 had no kisses or intimate moments ,the story was about developing the emotional side, not the physical one. I really liked that choice. It’s the opposite of so many other BL that build everything toward an NC scene and treat it like the main event.I like that the show went for a more realistic, less idealized approach. Some people might find it less interesting because of that, but for me that’s actually one of the things I enjoy most. #YouManiacSeries
