Headroom just open-sourced their token compression layer for LLM agents. They sit between your agent and the LLM, compressing everything before the model even sees it — up to 95% fewer tokens with no accuracy loss. JSON, code, logs, RAG chunks — each gets a dedicated compressor. And it's fully reversible: originals stay on your local machine, zero data loss. pip install "headroom-ai[all]" headroom wrap claude Works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Zero code changes. The cheapest token is the one you never send.

Linus just ended the "AI code must be marked" debate in the Linux kernel. Kernel docs are dropping the mandatory Assisted-by: LLM tag. When a maintainer pushed back, Linus went full Linus: "If you can't show you understand the machine without writing assembler, I don't want your code. New rule just for you: no compilers either." Honestly the healthiest take on AI-assisted code I've seen from any major open source project.

Sharing a few sites I collected along my dev journey, to spark your UI design inspiration: 1. minimal.gallery — Sites that prove restraint is a design decision. 2. navbar.gallery — Production navigation solved: mega menus that don't break on mobile, command-palette patterns, deep hierarchies that stay usable. 3. cta.gallery — Button groups and conversion rows where copy, hierarchy, and visual weight align. 4. posts.design — Social graphics with actual information architecture. 5. 60fps.design — Motion patterns that feel like they shipped with the OS.

Great news for founders on X. Cursor + X are one subscription now. The X Subscription puts X Premium (blue checkmark), Grok, Grok Bot and Cursor on a single plan. The $30 tier replaces what used to be $90 across three separate subscriptions. Five tiers, free to $200. One shared usage pool, refreshed weekly.

Founders alert 🚨 Reddit kills RSS feeds on Nov 13. No replacement for non-mods. Another quiet channel for founder outreach just closed. First they came for the API. Then old.reddit. Now RSS. Keyword alert services, monitoring tools — all dead. Where are we supposed to find our users without paying for access?

US developers don't work the way most companies think. Stack Overflow 2025 data (6,300+ US devs): - GitHub 67.5%, Reddit 60.9%, YouTube 59.2%, Discord 44.9%, HN 25% - Twitter: 17% (and dropping — <10% plan to stay) How they actually pick tools: 83% search first → 70% ask AI → 90% read docs → 80% try free tier → 75% ask a peer Ads: 15%. Cold email: <6%. 55% don't trust AI output (vs 43% globally) — they still verify with humans. Twitter is for spark. The real work happens in GitHub, Reddit, Discord, HN. English docs = first impression. Community support in US hours. Don't lead with "AI-powered." Lead with what they can verify.

Opus 5.6 is coming. Will it achieve the same level of reputation as 4.6?

Tips I learned along my OPC journey #1: If you own a domain, you can set up business email with Zoho Mail for free — no need to keep using your personal Gmail/Outlook address for business. 5 min setup. Custom domain. No cost. Stop sending from @gmail.com when you already own the brand.

Sharing a way to acquire users from social media: introduce your product, see if it fits people's need, and why. Chat with hundreds of potential users at the same time, as if you are talking to them in person. Try: founderping.app/t/6033d5f6-e… And everyone can create their own!

Has anyone else noticed that OpenAI models always give you so much fluff, whereas Anthropic models manage to cut right to the point, when asking for opening questions? A typical pattern with OpenAI's models is: I see you provided A,B,C, then it might means D under condition X, it could potentially become E, but if you mean the condition is Y, that's still pretty unlikely. but we can't say for sure blablabla. The phrasing feels a bit problematic: it is too wordy, and the logic loops around in a way that makes it exhausting to read. Instead Opus 5.5 gave me the gist, highlighted what mattered, and laid out actionable next steps. One felt like talking to someone who’s terrified of making a call. The other felt like talking to a friend who cuts through the noise and tells you exactly what you need to hear.

You may find this crazy even 5 years ago: You are on the plane, you connect Starlink and make an agent coding for your project! And then you post about it! Jesus, we are really stepping into a cyber world
