1/ I remember learning about freediving in a book called Deep 5 years ago and written it off as something completely impossible for me. It wasn't until I took my first course did I realise that it couldn't be further from an extreme sport.

2/ What I found was a beautiful spiritual practice. That through mindfulness you can recondition your bodies nervous system's response to the urge to breath. All of my dives in that first session were incredibly beautiful and meditative. Frustrating at times yes, but wonderful.

3/ Freediving is actually the physical act of a mental and bodily state of relaxation you're able to achieve. It's literally the physical manifestation of a mental state!

Yikes! I even had a GH issue for it dated April 2017 github.com/dawilster/poly/is… turns out the automatic language detection is failing for a lot of phrases.
